  1. I don’t know, Potter’s got a pretty sweet life right now!
  2. I love seeing stories like this. In the summer of 2016, my brother and I saw him sitting by himself in a hotel lobby. We took the opportunity to approach him to thank him. Claudio couldn’t have been any more gracious, he replied, “no, no, no, thank YOU.” He was so kind to us for those few minutes we spent with him, which I will always remember.
  3. -Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Washington DC, August 1963
  4. Wasn’t Timmy Trumpet your preferred nickname for Castagne?
  5. Someone make a chant to whatever tune this is https://www.instagram.com/reel/C2aWGnHt5Av/?igsh=ZTNodjRhbDB0am84
  6. I think Owen Gonzalez at Pachuca has the potential to turn into a nifty winger If he can improve his crossing. Completely changed the energy of a few games I’ve watched when he’s been subbed on. Wears the famous number 190 shirt for Pachuca (it’s true, he has a three-digit number). 😂
  7. God, I hope not. However, plenty of players have friends outside of the club who are Leicester fans and they’ll talk.
  8. He’s got offers and we’ll have to pay up. I think we underestimated how much interest there is for Vardy. He’s been our most marketable player for years— if we had any sense, we’d have been making back his salary just by an implementing a half-decent marketing effort.
  9. Pure carnage all around, just need Knockaert to show up drunk and grab the mic to complete the day.
  10. Have fun out there today!
  11. Any chance that’s just the new sleeve sponsor?
  12. That said, Guillem can get lost.
  13. I don’t get why he can’t grumble a bit if he’s been backed for one window. Enzo was clearly sold a bill of goods about the state of the club and I would have imagined he would have reconsidered joining us if he was made aware we’ll likely have to start the next season on a 6-point deduction and deal with financial problems that will take years to rectify. Backing Enzo for the summer window also doesn’t give any of KP, the DoF or CEO a pass to deceived him about the next window (assuming what Enzo is saying is the truth). This same pattern happened with our last manager and it ended horribly; the same people are in charge of the club and it’s getting difficult to give them the benefit of the doubt here.
  14. The lighter kit is an off-white, like a very, very light ice blue.
  15. Or maybe, and just hear me out on this, they would have just been happy to get the £25 tax removed and not have fans guilted into paying it because of an incredibly cynical “compromise” by the club?
  16. He got em stuck off the realness
  17. This thread is f***ing miserable. Even half of the positive comments have to have some dig added on. There isn’t a player at our club who hasn’t played a game with a few mistakes over the last few years. Hamza busted his ass all over the pitch and came through when it mattered the most today. MOTM by a country mile.
  18. My goodness. That is extremely disturbing (and concerning).
  19. There’s a lot in this— technical, expansive football has its time and place. But when you’re on an extremely bad run of form and can no longer afford moral victories, it’s time to get back to basics. Rodgers couldn’t accept that and his attempts to out-football his way past our troubling form led to over-complicating the tactics and a confused squad that couldn’t buy a win. Let’s see how Enzo handles things, maybe that hour-long team talk after the Preston game was the turning point…
  20. That’s exactly what you’re highlighting, though. You’re completely unaware of how footballers behave in other countries, and English football league is comprised of players from all over the world but want to blame America for Cole Palmer’s celebration. I’m not defending all influence of American ownership in the game and I didn’t say a damn word about the Super League. That you would use a stupid little celebration by Cole Palmer as an excuse to go on your diatribes says a lot more about you than any American influence in the game.
  21. Things change. The is no sport, hell there’s not even a city anywhere in the world these days where the register and style have stayed the same from the 1990s. Have you ever considered that you’re just getting older? And have you ever watched any football from South America or Africa? Or other parts of Europe? Blaming all of this on some American bogeyman is doing nothing but highlighting your own provincialism.
  22. Experts like Stefan Borson have said over and over again that this isn’t the case. There is a trial date set for Man City.
  23. Absolutely, it would still be foolish not appeal and challenge something so clear.
  24. They are probably under enormous pressure from the other clubs in the EFL. I’d imagine at least one of those clubs is considering legal action against the league and against us. We’ve made a mockery of the EFL’s competition by exceeding the PL’s more lenient PSR and have made absolutely no effort to comply with the EFL’s rules. If I were an owner of another Championship club who has his own house in order, I’d be furious at the EFL for failing to ensure a fair competition, which directly harms my club.
