Someone I know tried to renew for himself and his son by phone on deadline day but had problems and then experienced technical difficulties trying to do so online. He rang first thing the following to be told that if he wanted season tickets they would now be charged at new ST holder prices i.e. £200 more. Mind boggling that the club treats fans that have had STs for 15/20 years in such a manner.

No, you don’t have to put up with it and can withdraw your support/custom accordingly. But that doesn’t give those that take that path any right to criticise those that do renew. It’s a reasonably subjective decision with those renewing/not renewing for their own personal reasons. I hate what we are at present but understand those that renew because they go with family or it forms a valued part of their social life or just because they want to.
