  1. Daka can play out wide. That should have been the sub if Barnes was injured. Amarty coming on instead was accepting of a point
  2. I'd take Perez getting a 3 game ban over 3 points any day! Blow the whistle now, job well done
  3. Calm down people, £30m Perez is on the pitch now. The comeback is on!!
  4. We don't need a back 3/5 against this shit! Should never have started with it. When Evans went off thought it was a blessing in disguise so we could switch to a 4 and bring another attacking player on. Clearly not, Brendon bottled it
  5. Yves Bissouma Robin Gosens Ivan Toney Merch Demiral If we're to persist with the 3-5-2 then that would be perfect Shift the usual suspects to make funds available
  6. No Armarty, no Albrighton and no Hamza please. Pick the team on whoever's left
  7. Do we expect anything more at this stage with so many defensive players on the pitch?
  8. Wouldn't batter an eye lid if he's out for the season
  9. He's not good enough to play the number 9 for us. Let Rodgers keep talking him up so we can flog him in the summer (along with Kelechi) so we can bring in a proper backup/understudy/deputy to Sir Jamie

    Tagliafico

I'm not fortunate enough as you to have the time to trawl through every statistic available on every player, so i'm not sure what 'stats' you are referring to. Having said that, I have no concerns over Andrew Robinson, nor should as he's not a player we're linked with.

    Tagliafico

From the little I've seen of him, he appears to be a very good technical player, with his strongest asses the quality of his final ball into the box. However, I'm slightly sceptical on this one given his lack of pace and, dare I say it, his 'limited' physical attributes...
  12. If true, sell. Use the money to buy Uğurcan Çakır. He could be our keeper for the next decade
  13. The only real threat I can think of is Man U with Rashford, Martial, Wan-Bissaka and Daniel James. Add Mason Greenwood to that. Liverpool maybe contenders with Salah, Mane, Trent and Roberson but I'd fancy us taking them Possibly Palace with Schlupp, Van Aanholt and co. but again I'd fancy us taking them Arsenal have also got a few young whippersnappers along with Aubameyang...
  14. Taking our mind away from serious football talk, who would be in your LCFC 4 X 100m relay team? I seen an atricle in the Mercury earlier today stating that Cags had clocked in the quickes time in a Leicester shirt this season (23.33mph against Palace - Nov 3rd). Mine would be: 1) Cags 2) Barnes 3) Ricardo 4) Hamza Might be harsh on Vardy, Justin and Chilly. Got me thinking, is there a quicker quartet in the prem?
  15. How much do you think it would cost to land Emmanuel Dennis? (22 year old Nigerian forward from Brugge). The Leicester Mercury link us with him back in early November - albeit there have been no links since. He's more likely to be Vardy's successor than arguably any other player on the planet. He's lightning quick, very direct and plays on the shoulder. There are so many similarities. Whist Vardy plays out his final few seasons with us, Dennis is capable of filling in wide right - he's played there at club level many a time. Other things going for him is hes got experiece in playing in, and scoring in, the champions league. His fellow compatriots Wilfred and Kelechi would also help his settle in. Just signing him alone would transform our attack. Imagine a narrow front 3 of Barnes, Vardy and Dennis with Youri and Maddison feeding balls through. Its what dreams are made of!
  16. Jamal Lewis! With Norwich now relegated, let's pounce. Yes, he'd be back up to Chilwell - but fullbacks are so important these days that you can't afford to have a substantial drop in quality in this position if your first choice is unavailable. Fuchs isn't up to it anymore. Time to say thank you and goodbye. Ok he's signed a 1 yr deal, but let's keep him on the other side of that white line.
  17. 1) Our league position is irrelevant as it paints a false picture of the reality - bin 2) We won't be in this position come the end of the season - bin 3) His tactics of late and his substitutions have been questionable to put politely - bin 4) He's clearly unable to motivate his team - even with the biggest carrot of all - the champions league - bin 5) His post match interviews are far too positive are far to predicable - bin 6) If he wasn't the mighty "Brendan Rodgers" a lot more questions would be asked of him than they currently are - bin However 7) We're missing a number of key players - keep 8) Is he the problem or is it our squad (MA, RB, CF, AP, KI) are they simply not good enough?? Our squad has been relatively unchanged for a number of years and previous managers have had similar struggles Then again 9) With his transfer strategy appearing to be opposite to that of the one which has brought us success and geared more towards bringing in expereicned pros (AP, RB, AL??) do we really trust him and his mate to lead our transfer charge this window? No - bin! It looks like there's more reasons to bin him off then to keep him. But of we do, the squad needs addressing as any future manager will face similar issues
  18. Yep, completely agree. Even if we get past Chelsea on Sunday, we all know we're going to lose to the eventual winners Man City somewhere along the line. Sack the cup off, focus on securing top 4!
  19. I completely agree. But I believe players move on for typically 2 reasons: 1) Wages (obviously) and 2) To play with/complete against/show they can hold their own against the best footballing talent across the globe. I'd say both of the above are why we've lost the players we have in the recent past (Drinky, Mahrez, Maguire and Kante). If we can sign the kind of players I've mentioned (Cakir, Demiral and Dennis) it will go a long way to keeping hold our key assets and youngsters. If we don't cease this opportunity our competitors i.e. Chelsea will. That will soon close the gap we have and how long will we have to wait again before we're sitting 3rd in the league with a nice buffer on 5th place. I believe if we waste this opportunity this window, and it's likely we'll finish outside the top 4 this time next year. In turn that will increase the chances for 1 of/some our best players (Ndidi, Barns, Madison, Cags, Chilly) from being poached. Then the cycle begins again...
  20. As said within the thread it's imperative that we capitalise on this window. Who knows when we'll next have the lure of the champions league to wave in front of potential signings. Currently you could argue we have a better starting 11, possibly squad, the 4 of the so-called 'big 6'. We don't want to let that fall away this window. Signings I want are: Ugurcan Cakir - 24yo GK and imo one of the best young keepers around. If we don't sign him this window, another top Europe club will and then we'll never be able to land him. Difficult one because of Kasper but if your looking at the long term future of the club you'd have to push the button on it. Merih Demiral - 22yo old fashioned centre half. Knows Cags well from the national team and could form our defensive pairing for the foreseeable future. We've been linked with him before so I hope we follow it through. Rumours of Manure sniffing around so I'd like to move quick before we again miss the boat. Would take him all day long over Ajer. May also help to keep Cags long term. Final signing would be Emmanuel Dennis, 22yo forward. Capable of leading the line or or playing either side. And he is lighting quick and very direct! In terms of style of play, he has the most similarities to vardy to become his successor than any other players we've been linked with. Would much rather see him in the starting 11 over Perez. The 3 above won't be cheap but if we offload the fridge players to help financially, long term im sure it would pay dividends.
  21. John stones?
  22. I'd take Jamal Lewis off Norwich when they get relegated at the end of the season as the back up left back option. 21 years old, 1 year prem experience, bags of potential. Better competition for Chilly aslo...
  23. I recall there were reports of a late swoop for Merih Demiral of Juventus. 21 years old, 6 ft 3, Turkish international. He lined up along side Cags during the international break to which they got refered to as the 'Turkish Wall'. I believe he only signed for Juve last summer but also belive he has only made one appearance this season. I wouldn't mind seeing him being brought in in the summer to form a long term partnership with Cags, with Benny the next in line. I don't know the figure reported but it would be a much cheaper (and better quality) alternative then any of the usual premier league suspects...
  24. Ok lets stick with Albrighton, Morgan and co. and have another substandard season...
  25. We're not going to get him, let's stop talking about him...
