  1. That was me. He’s more Joey Essex tonight.
  2. That Janza is a unit. Wouldn’t like to meet him when he’s in a mood.
  3. This has the feel of another Iceland in Euro 2016.
  4. It’s not safe football it’s bloody awful football.
  5. Effin ell this is like gripe water. I’m taking the dog out …
  6. They were limited but they had a go.
  7. Dixon quite rightly saying “this is not great”. I’m struggling to see what our game plan is. Other than recycling.
  8. I must admit that I felt initially with not getting Potter or Corberan and ending up with Cooper reminded me of a situation back in my younger days at a nightclub in Southampton. I was getting on well with a girl, proper stunner, way more attractive than I thought I could handle. I then ended up asking her less attractive mate out. She agreed and we dated for a while. What might have been eh? Steve Cooper is who we have. He’s keen, which is great, back him and let’s see how it goes!
  9. He’s done more in 15 minutes than he did in 4 seasons for us.
  10. To be fair to the club they were not planning for Maresca to walk away. That tore up any planning. They’ve given a few managers a fair hearing, had their preference who has refused so what do they do? They’ve got someone in at no extra contract cost, a guy who’s got a track record recently and they need someone to work with quickly to get transfer business underway. They couldn’t wait any longer, let’s get behind him and support the club.
  11. Imagine how I feel. When it was down to 3 managers, I put a big bet on Potter and a smaller saver bet on Corberan. All was looking fine until today. Cooperman arrives to save the world. 😃
  12. and lost 4-1 and 2–0 either side of that 🙂
  13. Let’s just get behind Steve Cooper, there we’re probably not many candidates who’d accept the challenge of a 25 point deficit that could be imposed. Ridiculous that it is. I guess his target will be: 1. See if you can keep us up. 2. Get us back up if you can’t keep us up 3. See how you do in year 3 with the deficits and penalties all cleared. A tough ask but let’s get behind him and the team please.
  14. Fair start in the first 5 games to start eating into the deficit. Horrible blank scroogefest over Christmas though once again.
  15. I remember him playing for us alongside another loanee, Moran from spurs (I forget his first name). They formed a good partnership for us in the short term when the club was struggling in the bottom half of the second division (now Championship). Kevin scored a great winner in a 3-2 turnaround win at Portsmouth, a volley from 25 yards. I was there. A very decent player and a pity he had to go back to Arsenal, where he then helped them win the league in 1991 and 1993.
  16. I speculate the dragging out of this process could be negotiating his contract release from West Brom etc.... It would seem Potter dont want the job, given he was first preference and it was presented on a platter by Top and co...
  17. Fabregas yes I agree, but we could have done with Neil Warnock or even Sam Allardyce. How I long for the no nonense grafting type managers who call a spade a shovel.
  18. They’ve worked harder as has Bowen
  19. Is Gallagher any better than Maddison?
  20. Foden is a neat player but he’s not up to getting kicked to bits against a team like this. England are not Man City unfortunately for him.
  21. Stones looked like me then carrying the bin bags out.
  22. Rice is doing the Harry Winks role but Pickford has gone long quite a bit.
  23. Bellingham has Zidane like characteristics. Not quite as big but all round game is great.
