I think the time for a Dyche based appointment has passed and would much rather go for someone with a long term philosophy. If we bounce straight back the only thing it does is enable us to continue hemorrhaging money. Get someone in that rebuilds us from top to bottom and aim to stay up when we return. With the loses we continue to make, it’s a huge risk and if we get it wrong we disappear into oblivion but this season has been beyond demoralising.

First non football match run for a while last night after a weekend of eating crap and drinking, managed 5k in 23 mins which is just about par for me so I was happy with that. I really need to get back on the longer runs when the football season ends.

A house I really wanted 4 years ago has gone back on the market. I couldn’t buy at the time as it was single skim brick so couldn’t get a mortgage so the buyer has had to pretty much rebuild it. They have done a great job, massively extending but have listed it for £500k more than what they bought it for (£300k) . Wild, but looks class.

I found it all pretty interesting and took it for what it was, someone’s view of what’s happening having worked for the club during a time when things were going well, and is now an agent not wanting to burn bridges. I’ll probably get pelters for what I’m about to say, but our situation is much more nuanced than just saying Top and Rudkin are out of their depth. Both have been thrust into roles and situations that have led to them taking on much more than what was expected and that’s where they have been proven to be out of their depth. Where as what he said was objectively, Rudkin is hard working and good at his job. In my opinion, we are up shit creek because Top is unexpectedly running KP, Us and Leuven and delegated Rudkin with multiple jobs and this is why Rudkin is shafting the club. Put more layers and make the whole thing more functional and they could maybe do their job, another failing is not identifying that sooner.
