I know, if I’m honest I think I said that figure to prevent a pile on, but I do think there is a bit of a perfect storm meaning we might be able to get that. Although, being in the championship and everyone knowing we are utterly ****ed probably shits all over that.

First season Meslier broke through it looked like he would be the next big keeper imo, but he has gone significantly down hill. Thats maybe where this talk has come from, we’ve seen him be incredible in the championship and then for half a season in the Premier League. In our situation, knowing what’s come before (not selling players at their peak and everything going to shit) i think it’s probably wise to take an offer of £25m plus for him. That’s maybe a little bit low, but a bad season in the championship could make that look enormous.

I guess it’s suggesting that we can raise funds by selling some players off. Which is a fair point in that scenario but the players are absolutely wank, so makes no sense.
