My latest “being an idiot on a run” post. Started the day with the intention of having a day off after 4 work outs in 5 days (football, leg day, football, chest day) but thought I’d do an “easy 10k” instead. I don’t eat much lunch wise so I set off really slowly, get half way and you know the feeling when you have nothing left in the tank? Yeah that kicks in. Struggled to do 10k in 6 minutes slower than what I’ve been doing on a significantly flatter course 😂. Every days a school day but that’s probably the last time I do an ‘easy run’ without preparing.

Yet Savage saying it’s one of the best saves he’s seen that’s one of the worst misses I’ve ever seen.

Absolutely, and this is what I’m saying. i didn’t watch the Palace game but i read the Sky commentary when Coady came on for Ajew and said to my friends “I’ve seen this one before”. That said, ive seen that move work many times before as well. This season, we have looked significantly better while on the front foot so I’d like to see us do that more. But his approach has seen us still be in games to do that (probably arguably not Villa).

We have done that now though haven’t we. He’s been given the contract, the mistake has been made and the current evidence is we may be competitive so he deserves at least a bit more than a handful of games.

Ric, I respect your opinions but you wanted him sacked before the season had started . Should we have appointed a manager like him if we wanted to stick with “our philosophy”? - No Did he keep a newly promoted team up doing what he does? Yes Will he do it here? Early signs are mixed but as I mentioned above, we have competed more than most expected. I’m far from convinced and willing to give him time, I wouldn’t be shocked at all if he’s gone by mid November though.

I’m a little bit uneasy with the agenda that some have about the club/Cooper but at the same time I’m a bit disappointed with him. When he came he said he had used his time off learning and changing, and based on what I knew about Forests pragmatic approach I thought this was what he meant but he clearly didn’t. After the Villa game my Forest mate said “you wait until he plays 3 CDMs” without knowing that’s exactly what he had done. That said, it’s still very early days and many of us thought we would have been much worse than what we currently are so I’m willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. All of that goes if we don’t get a win at the weekend mind.

Got a ballot place for the Great North Run next year which should be good. Will be entering for the Eryri marathon which is a month after that. I can’t remember who it was that recommended that to me but I think you have a lot to answer for. It looks absolutely brutal 😂.

Depends on your general level of fitness and how quickly you want to do it I guess. It’s the adding speed into long distances that ****s me up.

You’ll be fine, I ran a marathon after my furthest training run was 4 miles and I didn’t die…. Although I very much felt like I was going to.
