Make no mistake.....the only reason it's on general is because they can't shift them. Don't be fooled....they haven't ring fenced them for GS or to get new fans. They aren't selling. Fans are voting their feet. The prices combined with the level of football isn't doing them any favours.

I understand that the clubs commercial/marketing functions are certainly seeing the fan disinterest. People are buying less. Whether that's in the club shop or tickets etc....and they're saying that the club has lost a togetherness. There are obviously a lot of factors but I can't help but think if our identity on the pitch was something to be proud of - things might be easier?

Thanks for sharing this. I think the key thing for me this season (barring the RB position issues) is the underperformance of the wing positions. I think compared to last season, Mavididi's level has dropped massively. Abdul when given the starting role has not been at the same level either. The replacements that come in have then not been good either so there is essentially no competition for those places. When they have been so wasteful it essentially cuts off all supply to the striker(s) and the ball is constantly coming back. Last season, we had Wanya start and even chip in with a goal or 2. Kasey started well and you had Mav and Abdul waiting in the wings. Equally when Abdul was flying, Mav would be left totally unmarked and we also had midfielders trying to get into the box for the header. Even if we solve 1 of the wing positions to become a threat I am convinced other things could fall into place in attack. Our wingers are stinking the place out.

I would love to be wrong ......but at best I see something stupid like a return of Smith/Terry with 10 games to go !!

I think they're expecting to go down on the balance of probability. And are planning accordingly. They don't want to invest the amount it would take to fight off relegation and establish ourselves as a force again.

This is exactly it. Overnight our squad has gone to utter shit. It's the management of the club from the very top. Does this squad and manager scream of ambition and progress?

After all of the carry on this summer...I can understand why fans are in a frustrated mindset. But I think it's a good time to step back and reflect. Today he hasn't got it wrong. Trying to keep the game tight and not let villa blow us a way is no bad thing. Some of the new signings look really good. I know people weren't excited by Skipp but he's got hustle and is robust ...it's something we needed. Okoli looks a good signing too. And I'm determined to enjoy Mads whilst he's with us because before long he'll be playing for someone else (Chelsea?!). Today we pushed a champions league qualifying team to the limit. Let's be clear .....not a team battling and ending up 5th....but an actual champions league qualifier. We are newly promoted with a bunch of new signings. These things take time but there is encouragement. Think about some of the toilet we saw turn up at the KP over the years that was newly promoted?! I have 2 thoughts from today's game....wilf is hard to watch! And Abdul has not started well at all. I remember a moment when Enzo dropped him because he was 'trying to shoot from everywhere'.....I think he is ready for a similar rocket.
