  1. It kicked a bit as it bounced from the spin on the ball, but it was going that slow it shouldn’t have beat him. A proper keeper smothers it on the bounce, especially with the Sunderland player closing down any rebound. Utterly hilarious regardless!
  2. Played for the first time in a while last weekend. Game always becomes inconsistent (more inconsistent) after about 13/14 holes due to bad shoulders. Shot 89 but had a great spell of +2 over 6 holes. Anyway, has anyone been fitted for irons? I’m 6’3 and constantly feel like I’m reaching down playing every iron shot. Obviously it would be ideal to be fitted up properly, but the wait really puts me off. Would off the shelf +.5 do the trick? Any advice welcome as I’m a complete novice compared to some of you guys.
  3. If Cooper alienates our best players to the point they want to leave in January, it’s all on the board. I can accept struggling, I can even accept poor performances but to play a weak hand while it’s happening is absolutely criminal.
  4. I don’t think there’s much logic in thinking Cooper is playing Justin to facilitate a big money move. When in reality, if we don’t start picking up points sharpish, he’ll be out of a job. I’m not saying we’d have been any better off with Ricardo in, but to have zero PL minutes so far, somethings up.
  5. Ah yeah! Thought you meant the tackle. Daft.
  6. Thought it was a good challenge. Risky either way I guess!
  7. Don’t be stupid!
  8. Someone said that it would retire him. That’s reaching
  9. Looking at the replies… he’s done his ankle, broken his foot and snapped his Achilles.
  10. Having a firestick shouldn’t be illegal when you have to listen to these absolute morons commentating.
  11. Hopefully Steve Jobless soon.
  12. Commentator: Nobody is on the same page as Wilfred Ndidi. If they were I’d be worried as they have been sat in Row F in the corner.
  13. A lot is made of managers ‘trusting’ certain players. Usually, these aren’t the best players but are reliable… and vice versa. How any manager can trust Soumaré to impact a game (whether that’s creating or solidifying), even for a brief spell at the end is beyond me. As people have said, he likely does possess some talent, but we’ve not seen much of it here, let alone any application of effort. Shame really, for us and him.
  14. For what it’s worth. Some of the best football over the summer was the ‘lesser’ sides. It was loads better than the ‘better’ sides games. I just don’t like the nations league, I probably didn’t put that across in the way I should’ve. So apologies if I caused any offence.
  15. This is like when you start an argument, realise you’re wrong, double down… then mumble nonsense for a few minutes.
  16. He’s 28 and plays for Jamaica. On the other hand, I’m more than happy to root for a guy who’s name sounds like my goal celebration
  17. I get that there are games that can be just about watchable, but it’s really difficult to call any of this Nations League tripe ‘exciting’. There’s nothing at stake really, they’re glorified friendlies for crap teams to play each other and decent sides to experiment. Every point I’ve made probably has a counter argument, but it’s still a load of sh!te. Waste of time, pointless reason to break the season up so early to line EUFAs coffers.
  18. I agree. I’ll boycott the game as a stand. That’ll show um
  19. I was thinking similar to the OP earlier. It’s not a window to get excited over whatsoever. In the circumstances, it isn’t ’too bad’. Whether it’s enough or not, who knows? It’s going to be a very tough season but we may have given ourselves a fighting chance with the squad. Cooper now needs to utilise it to its potential.
  20. I know £700 a week is a liveable wage, of course. It’s just not what I expected a League 2 footballer to earn.
  21. Poor man? Playing league football and earning a plumbers wage on top? I’d swap (maybe not salary, although maybe), but he can’t be struggling… have you paid a plumber? Saying that, my younger sisters ex boyfriend (I know), plays in League 2, I don’t think he earns enough to live off of football. £700 a week maybe. Shocking really. A plumber wouldn’t work a week for £700.
  22. Sounds like Amartey. I hope he’s like Amartey, just better at defending and football in general. * No disrespect to Big Dan. Top man!
  23. I assumed it was related to the video he put online (I don’t have the link, sorry). He talks about a hard week ‘securing the coin’ and only ‘certain man’ will understand… I assumed they have taken that in a context that he suggests it to be doing something illegal. Although it could be something completely unrelated, of course.
