If I can’t get to a Leicester game on a Saturday (or they aren’t playing) but can make it to another game, I’d definitely go. Not much different from watching on TV as a neutral. Probably even more interesting if you’ve got something riding on the game. Each to their own I suppose. Many folk enjoy watching football live football, whoever may be playing.

It should be a given, but seeing the players reactions showed how much it meant. Heads drop when you go 1-0 down, this group should be able to play and get something in those situations but it hasn’t happened. Some of the defending yesterday showed us all we do have some fight, granted we needed a huge slice of fortune. Huge result for the mentality of this squad going into the final 3 games. Coady came across well when he said, ‘we park it and look to the next game’. Top mentality.

To be fair, the two in the space of 5 seconds would never result in more than one goal. Also how this reflects on the ridiculous xG stats shows how flawed the stat is (completely unrelated to what you said @LCFCJohn) What a performance though!

I’m dreading 80mins onwards, just knowing I’m going to be fuming for the rest of the day. I really hope they can prove me wrong and show some grit and finish these off or at least see it out. Time to act like champions and win a tight game.

I don’t know if I’ve commented on this thread either way (for/against). But I am absolutely done with this football. This is depressing. We deserve to lose these games. Cooper for Millwall was an absolute rock, he’s limited but he’s an absolute beast. We’ve got Coady who can do that for us, it we don’t use him. Daka. I don’t hate the bloke, but furrrk me, why is he playing for us. I’ve no idea how to convey my feelings further but I think loads of us could see a Plymouth result, win or draw. My head hurts watching this shite

No I agree. KDH just wants it on his left and the inverted wingers always need an extra touch to get it on their preferred foot. Annoying all the same and many missed opportunities, but that’s how we play. Frustrating.

Watched it in the boozer with a load of Leeds lads.. ‘how did 5 defenders and the keeper let that go through?’.. What a finish. I’ve got about £4k on us going up/finishing above Leeds with them. Stephy kept me alive there

Leeds could’ve scored a couple in the first stages of that game. Once it settled we dominated for long periods, but unfortunately it wasn’t for the 90 as you say.

Exactly. Full backs are always taught to force a player inside (contrary to the junior football mantra of ‘show them outside’, which many still believe). The traffic is on the inside and the defender is isolated on the outside. One shot every now and again will fly in, like Mavididi’s. A cross from the outside comes at a better angle than a cross from the inside, regardless of in/out swing. This is another reason we’re wasteful going forward. Plus, taking the outside route is usually something a traditional (non-inverted) winger does, making the crossing angle even more dangerous. Inverted wingers can work very effectively, just not how we use ours.

Vestergaard has always been a good ball playing centre half, it wouldn’t take a genius to utilise him in a system that requires someone of his ability. With the amount of work that goes into observing the opposition, Maresca would’ve done the same with us. He’ll have known Vestergaard was going to be one of his linchpins before he took the job.

Why back something at 1/8 and 1/5? They add almost no value to the combined odds. Edit: having read the thread I assume they’re just fillers to chase the freeze on the outsider going ahead?

Can’t see it, but Coady and Nelson might be worth a try. Ball player/ball winner similar to the Vesty/Faes partnership?

Thanks, wasn’t sure how many it was. I understand Leeds fans thought process on this. However a football club having success goes far deeper than the manager and playing squad. The issues you faced were the fault of Leeds Utd Football Club. I think we’ll both be promoted. Definitely the best 2 sides by a long way.

Don’t get to as many aways as I used to because I play Saturday afternoon. Seemed like a genuinely good group. Loud. Credit to the club. Took our lass (Leeds fan, doesn’t know anything about football). Asked an old couple if we could stand in the bit of space near them, they asked if our tickets were for there, hers was, mine wasn’t. I said I’d not get in there way and stand in front of the unoccupied seat a couple of seats away. The old fella just stood in my face until I moved. Strangest experience at an away game I’ve ever had. I was polite and asked if I could stand near my girlfriend. They ended up with the lot who packed about 20 into a 5 seat space, ended up stood with them. Good group and never shut up Looking back on the game, I thought we played well. Controlled the game if not possession. Pleasure to watch Winks and KDH. Daka, miss aside, thought he linked play really well. Wingers, good, no idea why Mavididi passed when through. Defence, think they played Faes well but he still did ok. Vestergaard, outstanding. Full backs good. Hamza, solid, reliable. Subs, Cannon… had nothing. McAteer, not sure what he offers at all. Pawson, think he was on the wind up. Assistant near us was an absolute joker. Looked like a parent picking up the flag reluctantly and waiting for the ref to point. Could've won 5-0, lost 3-1. Genuinely can’t complain about too much. They ended up being worth 3 points and we weren’t. Play like that for 12 games and we’re fine. Edit - Actually really like Farke, seems like a genuine bloke. Hate Gnonto but don’t mind the rest of their side. Begrudgingly hope they go up.
