He couldn’t score in a barn! -
Big fat yes after today. Can’t score and can’t defend. 0-2 against them, you know that you are in big, big trouble!

After watching him play… I could be a football scout! -
Brendan Rodgers Resigns from Celtic
Kinowe Soorie replied to Clever Fox's topic in General Football and Sport
Rodgers has also made several references to underwhelming recruitment throughout the start of the season. But Desmond responded with: "Every player signed and every player sold during his tenure was done so with Brendan's full knowledge, approval, and endorsement. Any insinuation otherwise is absolutely false. "In reality, he was given final say over all football matters and was consistently backed in the recruitment process, including record investment in players he personally identified and approved. I don’t think I’ve ever felt as bitter about someone, that I don’t personally know, as I do about Rodgers. I detest the guy! -
Brendan Rodgers Resigns from Celtic

Even when the club splurged record amounts of money in a calendar year on the £11m Arne Engels, the £9m Adam Idah and the £6m Auston Trusty - none of whom have cut it so far, with Idah already having departed - Rodgers pushed for more and more and, oftentimes, he did it in public. We are still paying the price for his incompetent signings. -
Trying to organise a friendly during half term, is like pulling teeth at the dentist Parents are definitely the worst part of running a kids football team!

Does anyone know if Cartwright is a Leicester lad?
-
Our match was cancelled by the opposition last thing yesterday, so no time to arrange a friendly. I got a chance to see my youngest lad play at least.

Ex Players - They used to play for us

I don’t usually take any notice of former players, but I think he is quality. His touch, then the desire to get on the end of the move he started, was excellent! Often got criticised on here now we have Mavididi. -
I really don’t like the shouting, it’s not the army or the 1970’s etc. They need lots of encouragement and positive reinforcement, fun environment etc. The goalkeeper in particular could do with some individual coaching imo (not a criticism of the boy) but the lads will smash balls past him in shooting drills, not good for his confidence. It’s very, very unforgiving position.

That would be funny if a friendly match got arranged via FoxesTalk, in Australia!

I also have a 6 year old that plays for a team that I’m not involved with, but I don’t like how the manager runs the team. Shouts at them and is very critical of mistakes they make. They also have too many players, so they are all only getting half a match each.

@snoopy87 any parents that you get on well with? Definitely try and get as many extra pairs of hands as possible. Obviously after getting the necessary certification. Slightest sniffle or knee graze is a night off training for some. I have one lad that hasn’t appeared for a match yet this season. Then have some lads, where their limbs would have to be hanging off before they missed a match or training. Keep going!

He’s always lacked pace, very evident last night.

Top 6, undefeated in 6 matches, new manager, some new players, no need to panic just yet. Give him some time ffs!

How about we show some trust in the management team, that see them in training everyday? I’m all for playing the youth, if they are ready. -
