And it’s only the last 2 years that Newcastle & Villa have finished in the top 4 and how much money have they had to spend to get there.

Look back at the signings of Daka, Soumare even Bertrand everyone was gushing over them. Vestergaard was only supposed to be a stop gap for Fofana, we wouldn’t have even bought him if Wes hadn’t broke his leg. The reason we only had £25 million to spend was because of the obscene wages we have handed out. That’s continued since Rodgers has left so more of an issue with the person dealing and signing the contracts off. Rodgers also isn’t responsible for over £100 million pounds worth of talent walking away for free. I’ll agree 22/23 he checked out, he should have been sacked after the Brighton defeat, I blame him for persisting with Danny Ward. I don’t blame him for not walking away from the millions of pounds he had tied up in his contract though. Again that was down to whoever agreed & signed off his contract. Not his fault the club gave him that big contract.

Disagree with most of that, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion. The club is still a complete mess now so nothing has changed in the 2 years that he has been gone.

it’s really not that deep mate. One of our greatest ever managers. It will be many many years until we have success like we did under him again.

Injury prone

Alves going to be one of them injury prone players isn’t he. Plays once then out for a few weeks, near to a comeback gets another little niggle and so on.

Did we have an end of season awards night when we went down in 22/23? Genuinely can’t remember if we did or not.

Vincent Kompany had a style of play that he would stick to and would consistently play the same way in detriment to the team I may add. He chose his ego and philosophy over what was best for the club. With RvN I’m not seeing any style of play he’s not a possession based manager, he’s not a counter attacker, I don’t actually see a style that he sets up the team to play. We don’t score, we can’t defend, we hardly create any chances, he isn’t willing to give any youth players a chance. I just don’t see what he’s got going for him to continued to be our manager next season whatever division we are in.
