  1. No offence to you specifically but I'm getting more and more annoyed by posts like this every, single season. How much self awareness do you have to lack as an English football fan to sit here moaning every transfer window that clubs in Italy and Spain can't afford to compete with even Championship clubs in England for wages and fees. Like these ****ing clubs WANT to be skint. The Premier League (and English football in general) is absolutely suffocating the life out of the rest of the European game and fans of "little" Leicester City have the audacity to moan about Italian and Spanish clubs making supposedly low ball offers for players we ridiculously overpaid for because we have the enormous privilege to be able to. And some of these same fans will go off in another thread and bemoan X or Y about modern football or Man City or the Rich Six or Super Leagues or something with no sense of irony or humility. Makes me a bit queasy to be honest and I'm so ****ing sick of hearing it. Where is this unicorn football club with trillions to spend but players worse than ours that's desperate to get our hand me downs and cast offs and buy them from us for enough that the amortisation doesn't kill our FFP budget because they're more reckless and stupid than English clubs? Short of Top paying bungs to Saudi to do us a favour (which would make me even more sick) I'm not entirely sure what some of you are waiting for. Rudkin is shit because he can't convince clubs from a skint dying league to spend money they don't have on our rejects?
  2. He'll be the new Praet. Nobody can afford to buy him off us but he'll never really break in to the first team. Best we can hope for is maybe breaking even with loan fees over the course of his contract and waving him off in a few years time. Be nice to be wrong. I think he has the skill profile to do well in the 8 role, he's technically an upgrade on Ndidi in terms of footballing ability. But just doesn't really seem to have the heart.
  3. The vast majority of the players mentioned above played nearly all of the full 90. The "kids" came on predominantly for extra time against tired Chelsea legs. And this is a Liverpool squad hand picked and drilled by one of the best coaches and coaching staffs in world football, all with one philosophy, one ideology, all pulling in the same direction - against a hodge podge Chelsea mess that has been assembled via scattergun by owners with no clue. There is a story here and it's a very good one but brushing it off as a fantasy fairytale with Jurgen Klopp and passing it off as some class of 92 master stroke isn't helpful. That's the wrong story and the wrong lessons just the same as calling our title win a fairytale or a miracle is the wrong story. This is what happens when an extremely well run football club comes up against an extremely poorly run football club. United and Chelsea are lagging miles behind Liverpool and Man City when it comes to recruitment intelligence and squad management. Liverpool should always have won this match, in fact they probably should have won it far more comfortably given the lineups that started the game. To be quite honest, Pochettino has performed a minor miracle to even get them to a cup final. It doesn't matter what they've spent, they've spent it on an absolute garbage.
  4. I'm probably in that first video somewhere booing I was at that game, I'm Welsh. It's just a song mate and a shit one at that brown nosing out of date imperialist classism. Who gives a **** who boos.
  5. Not our prince. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
  6. It's a stupid narrative anyway. The back four is almost his first choice, including two Champions League winners, one being possibly the best defender in the world and both being their international captains. The midfield are all high profile summer signings, including a World Cup winning Argentina international, a 31 year old 60+ cap Japanese international and a senior Dutch international, albeit in his early twenties, who is regarded as one of Europe's best prospects. Together they cost almost 90m. Then two out of the three forwards are also first choice, senior Dutch and Colombian internationals also consider major super stars bought for significant wedge. Then finally, the only "kid" anywhere in either midfield or attack is a 20 year old young man from Surrey, a product of Fulham's youth academy, that has already played 60+ games for Liverpool as a regular first team member. Kelleher is 25, fully capped for Ireland and has been Liverpool's cup goalkeeper for ages. That literally just leaves Conor Bradley covering for injuries. That's it. That's "Klopp's kids." Fvck me. The media and their desire to make everything about Liverpool somehow mystical and magical is so fvcking nauseating and their fans lapping every bit of it up? Ugh, the worst.
  7. Actual disgrace. Why is it always France getting away with shit like that. Ref should have had that penalty retaken with the shot clock fully reset, the amount of interference from France, even the ****ing water carriers moving around in front of the kicker. Why do you need a water carrier on the pitch in the 80+ minutes? It's always France doing the shady, scummy, under handed shit. I'm livid and I'm not even Italian.
  8. Law 21.15: If the ball or ball-carrier touches a corner flag or corner flag post without otherwise being in touch or touch-in-goal, play continues unless the ball is grounded against the post.
  9. The state of some of you bed wetters, jesus christ
  10. I mean, the man is 75 years old. Regardless of a cancer diagnosis they obviously will be planning for his succession. He was never going to have a long reign.
  11. I said all of this at the time and it's still my opinion now. 1. Nobody - and I mean nobody - born and raised as a citizen in the UK should ever have their citizenship revoked. It shouldn't be possible and the idea it is is terrifying to all citizens. It doesn't matter what she's done, one thing nobody can take away from her is the fact she IS British, whether she liked it at the time or not. 2. I 10000% agree with and also said at the time the part there about responsibility. That's the bit that actually angered me most. She was brainwashed in this country, she was a vulnerable child in this country, she was exploited in this country. We allowed it to happen, it's our responsibility. We couldn't just pack up the Moors murderers or the Yorkshire ripper, decide they aren't British anymore and dump them in another country and say - you deal with it. I don't see the difference. Yep. Anyone that doesn't think it's the birth rate needs to go and take a look at what's just happened in the USA. The billionaires lost control of the nutters for a moment. The Christian fundamentalists they've empowered and weaponised to push this stuff went rogue and are pushing for legislation that'll kill IVF clinics because of the way they store embryos. So Trump has had to come out and tell them to reign it in and speak up against other conservative law makers because it'll make it harder for people to have kids. But it baffles me, like you say, you never hear this narrative in the media or even amongst the general population. Left and right, everyone makes it about religion and it isn't at all.
  12. Turns your stomach. We'd be 15 points clear with even just average, common or garden, mid table levels of finishing.
  13. We must have conceded more ridiculously spawny goals than any other club this season. Leeds and Ipswich between them have scored five goals this year and barely earned any of them
  14. Only got ourselves to blame for that. We've absolutely battered them in this half. Daka and Mavididi in particular had to score.
  15. I mean, for balance, he has had one incorrectly ruled out, he created the goal we have scored and his all round contributions have been absolutely immense in this game. But, yes, that was an utterly hideous miss.
  16. I absolutely love you Patson but that is the single worst miss of the season.
  17. I've been saying this forever, that's exactly why VAR should always do, at the very very least, offside. A human will never, ever be able to reliably and consistently give offside. It's not possible for the ref and linesman to always see that. I don't really blame the officials there. To everyone at first glance it looks like Daka was off.
  18. Both Fatawu and Mavididi have been below their best tonight. It both bring their A game this is probably 3 or 4.
  19. Time for the ever obliging Leicester City. What was that stat about Bamford scoring from zero sub appearances
  20. How has he missed that
  21. VAR gives that goal.
  22. This is so dominant it needs a goal. We're making then look like Plymouth.
