  1. @Mark
  2. Would like to see McAteer there again for his work rate and aggression, as long as he can keep it under control. No silliness from him or Abdul tonight please! I'd probably go: Mads Ricky, Faes, Vestergaard, Doyle McAteer, Winks, KDH Fatawu, Daka, Mavididi Appreciate Vardy is on a run and people want to see him play but I think we need Daka's pace and stamina on the press from the off for this. Definitely don't want to see Dennis Praet anywhere near the starting line up, although now I've said that he'll probably play and be motm.
  3. I'm not sure that he needs to, does he? Like I said before, our "norm" can manifest in a few ways. Norwich got really in our face and tried to swarm us on and off the ball in our own half, we pulled off a counter attacking master class and battered them. Southampton tried to out-Leicester us, building from the back and keeping the ball, we pulled off a high pressing master class and battered them. Huddersfield tried to park the bus and keep it solid, we pulled off a creative master class and battered them. Don't think Enzo would say the actual game plan was really any different in any of those games. We wanted to go out and control all three but equally we're prepared and ready to win other ways if we need to. If Leeds come at us tonight and play aggressively to take the initiative, Boro game aside, we've been good enough all season to soak up what pressure and murder them on the break. But we can do thst without having a particular distinct plan to do so, it's just how the game unfolds. I can see it happening tbh. I think it'll be a different Leeds to the one that came to Leicester.
  4. Rocky I guess, he's the midget.
  5. It wasn't long ago it looked like Southampton wouldn't lose again and their fans were banging on about how it was just their bad start. Then they lost two in three games to Hull and Bristol. It's ridiculous to think Leeds are going to go the rest of the season winning every match. Or us. Everyone is going to drop points. We aren't likely to drop 9 more points than two of the three of them whether we lose tonight or not.
  6. You and @Daggers when we win
  7. Didn't know you were a Leeds fan.
  8. It definitely is
  9. He isn't trying to do anything. He's said the same thing all season, a win is a win. Every game he's said the same thing. But we have a cushion to you, you don't have a cushion to Southampton and Ipswich. Every game is bigger to you than us at the moment.
  10. Football Specials won't ever come back. Even the most optimistic, football fans' football fan can't be delusional enough to think that a minority of dickheads won't ruin it. Look at Wembley at the Euros. Those idiots won't ever let you have football specials back and it isn't The Man that's the problem. And don't tell me it works in other countries, people are a lot more respectful in other countries, particularly towards public transport. We are ****ing animals. But rail travel in this country does need massive reform. Not just for football fans, for everybody. It's disgusting how far it's been able to fall. The standard is terrible and the cost is absolutely absurd. It shouldn't cost you more to go an hour to London than it does to go to the ****ing Algarve.
  11. It's not even about their aspirations to win the league, it's not even about their gap to us. They need all the points they can get because they could very well end up being 4th if they don't. They're scrambling to get away from Southampton and Ipswich far more than they're trying to catch us, regardless of what their delusional fans think. THAT is pressure.
  12. I think to an extent that happens naturally more than being strictly a plan. A game of football evolves gradually from the first whistle, it's fluid, back and forth. If they put pressure on and get control of the ball in our half then we become a counter attacking team. If they pass the ball around in their own half then we become a high pressing team. If they drop off and wait and invite us on then we become a possession based team. We have our patterns of play and our shape and a desire to score goals and be in control but you respond to what happens in the moment. I don't think the plan was any different for Southampton away as it was for Rotherham at home. Things just unfold a little different because of the opponent. Thats not to say we don't do preparation and research for each team we play but I think if you were to ask Maresca, even privately off the record, he'd say that ultimately we've done more or less the same thing in every game this year even if it hasn't necessarily looked like it on the pitch.
  13. I think we have a pretty annoying fanbase but I don't think we were succesful or perceived as "big" for long enough (if we ever were) to have the kind of fanbase I think is the MOST annoying. The five worst that spring to mind to me, in no particular order, are Leeds, Everton, West Ham, Sunderland and Newcastle. There's a lot of them which gives them the impression they're important and creates echo chambers and they've all got this attitude that their clubs are just massive and special. Villa, on paper, should be in this category but I don't really find their lot as prolific online. You get other fanbases that aren't as numerous but can be a bit ****ing chavy or weird like Cov but I reckon that's probably just our own confirmation bias because it's often directed at us. The others are just straight obnoxious though. Look around r/Championship for example. It's just been invaded all season by extremely vocal, annoying, arrogant Leeds fans that dish it out to EVERYONE but can't take a single bit of stick back without having a huge strop and all piling on someone together in their collective, fragile tantrum. Our annoying fans are mostly just pessimistic moaners with an inferiority complex crying any time the media don't say nice things about us (see Do They Mean Us thread.)
  14. Reckon Leeds might be the UK city with the most regular FoxesTalk residents? Think there might be more of us than London these days?
  15. Yeah likewise. Moved to Leeds last year and know a few Leeds fans. Was in my local when they played Plymouth the other day. Generally most of them are sound. But their INTERNET fans? Holy mother or God. One of the top 5 worst English online fanbases. Some absolute delusional helmets.
  16. Win win for us either way. Either they get relegated this year and it's hilarious waving at them on the way past as we take their spot or they have a significant points deduction next year when we're in the Prem. I guess only issue with it being this year is the risk that they still survive. Especially if Everton get another deduction. So tbh I might really lean on the side of its better if they DO get it next season, unless Everton get away with it which I doubt.
  17. Yeah kinda. It doesn't help that a lot of those Fatawu chances created will be that in-swinging back post cross he likes. They're excellent deliveries but we don't exactly have an abundance of players to thrive on them. By and large we have a team that want the ball on the deck.
  18. Southgate wouldn't know what to do with this current Harry Winks anyway, he'd be completely wasted.
  19. This announcement is an acknowledgement that he will I think. You don't really make an announcement like this and then sack him early anyway, especially in Germany where they're reasonably sensible. They have a nine or ten point cushion keeping them in Champions League qualification and they're probably not now going to win the league. They know more or more less where their season is going already, a managerial change won't change that.
  20. What a few days... ... to be a Leeds fan. Edit: oh
  21. KDH with a ridiculous right foot screamer volley that the whole world knows he couldn't do again if he tried
