Generic populist in spewing generic populism shock. What a boring little troll he is. When you lack so much personality that you have to wear a ****ing fedora everywhere to compensate for otherwise being not even vaguely memorable you know you aren't exactly one of life's winners.

**** me George Galloway in the news. What year is it.

I think context is important. We just played a Premier League club and rotated nearly the entire team because the cup isn't a priority. I'm pretty sure that's Enzo considering it a distraction. That's a little bit different to being solidly in mid table in the Prem with little else to play for in a season and going all out to try and win the FA Cup.

You don't have to be a former player to be a good manager but what you do need is to be able to communicate with footballers and having been one definitely helps that. Rodgers is a weird, alien robot with no personality. He always struggled at the human side of the game, that's why defeats quickly turned in to streaks with him that he couldn't stop. Enzo seems to be an excellent people person that immediately, even with little experience, knows how to work with players on a basic, human level. Much lik Big Nige. It's refreshing.

They definitely can't be complacent about it but I think a lot of people learned the lesson in the last two elections. Can't afford to not vote and the sort of people that might not want Biden for progressive reasons will DEFINITELY not want Trump to get in at all.
-
You really think Biden is going to lose protest votes to Donald Trump, the committed anti Arab, Islamaphobe who famously, controversially stirred up shit in Israel? A protest vote in the primaries is a lot different to a protest vote when it matters. Trump has already promised a purge on "Islamists" if he wins. Not that that's surprising given he's promised purges of basically anyone except his base.

See a lot of the problem is that people don't even really equate most of the services you named with "the council." They fixate on the very visible stuff, basically roads and any large civic projects, but that's like the tip of the iceberg. And enormous part of what your local authority does is exactly that, looking after the most vulnerable in our society. People moan about their council tax and cycle paths or whatever the **** but half of those will be funded by grants and various green initiatives or whatever other ring fenced pot of gold. What you're actually doing with a lot of your CTax is contributing to a whip round so we can chip in together to make sure the disabled, the elderly, the ill, the poor, kids, the homeless and all manner of other vulnerable people have access to vital services they need to live. And it's getting harder and harder and harder to provide those services every year with more and more and more cuts. Your local authorities are increasingly facing bankruptcy because they have both a statutory and moral obligation to protect those people with less and less and less money every year.

So basically you pulled it completely out of your arse. I have no idea how much corruption there is in parliament, I'm not qualified to say, although Ian Hislop and his friends have spent a significant amount of time highlighting and proving enough of it that it's made me cynical yes. But christ some of you are absurdly melodramatic about what you think goes on in the council.
-
I mean, this is just rubbish as well. There is so much regulation and monitoring these days on this shit to make sure due diligence is done on tenders for contracts. Hence why you DO end up with dismissals and even prosecutions in the extremely unlikely event it does happen. Honestly, 99% of you don't have a ****ing clue what happens in your local authorities. You're just parroting the same silly myths and Chinese whispers and half of that probably comes from American films and TV. Yeah, councils have problems but about 99% can be traced back to just being cripplingly under funded by a central government that has spent near 20 years now constantly attacking their budgets.

Well, here's another bunch of drivel that the internet didn't need.

I dont think the team get anywhere near as flustered as the fans to be honest. People were panicking because we'd lost two in a row and assuming that the players felt that panic too. Think it will very much have been business as normal in the squad, sometimes you just lose games of football. It's fine. Think it always would have been back to normal against QPR whether we'd played and beaten Bournemouth last night or not.

I mean tbf we're playing Praet, Albrighton and Raikhy. If Hamza wasn't one of our best players I'd sack him. -

There's nothing wrong with loaning him out every year if the fees cover his amortisation (approx 3.5m a year I think?) and his wages are paid. Perfectly legitimate way of making money and can turn him in to a net win. That said, it'll be much easier to sell him this coming summer. He'll have been here 3 of the 5 years of his contract if I'm not forgetting something so his book value will only be around 7m. I'll be surprised if we can't get ~10m for him to make it a slight gain. So if we broke even on him this year (actually doubtful if I'm honest but not impossible) his general impact on FFP wouldn't be too horrific.

This is low key really offensive to Hermansen.

No offence to you specifically but I'm getting more and more annoyed by posts like this every, single season. How much self awareness do you have to lack as an English football fan to sit here moaning every transfer window that clubs in Italy and Spain can't afford to compete with even Championship clubs in England for wages and fees. Like these ****ing clubs WANT to be skint. The Premier League (and English football in general) is absolutely suffocating the life out of the rest of the European game and fans of "little" Leicester City have the audacity to moan about Italian and Spanish clubs making supposedly low ball offers for players we ridiculously overpaid for because we have the enormous privilege to be able to. And some of these same fans will go off in another thread and bemoan X or Y about modern football or Man City or the Rich Six or Super Leagues or something with no sense of irony or humility. Makes me a bit queasy to be honest and I'm so ****ing sick of hearing it. Where is this unicorn football club with trillions to spend but players worse than ours that's desperate to get our hand me downs and cast offs and buy them from us for enough that the amortisation doesn't kill our FFP budget because they're more reckless and stupid than English clubs? Short of Top paying bungs to Saudi to do us a favour (which would make me even more sick) I'm not entirely sure what some of you are waiting for. Rudkin is shit because he can't convince clubs from a skint dying league to spend money they don't have on our rejects?
