  1. At the risk of being that rugby fan, it's not fvcking football. The guy goes down like he's been shot. The player and the crowds reaction buys the penalty.
  2. If Josh Adams gets pinged for this I'll be livid. The Argie just fvcking dives. All he does is stand up and nudge him with his chest. Argie goes down like a fvcking footballer. Not having that.
  3. Poor second half of the half for me. Think we've just been poor actually and should have a comfortable lead. They've been very average.
  4. Wtf ref you can't jump at defenders to avoid a tackle
  5. At the risk of being overly critical, actually think we've left a fair few points out there. Need to tighten up the execution and find another gear second half. Obviously the missed kick was extremely disappointing but think that Josh Adams knock on was try time too.
  6. Dan Biggar wtf was that
  7. Famous last words but I usually don't mind an English ref. Usually have similar interpretations of the rules that we do. With Reffell and Morgan we could use a ref that's going to have shall we say, northern hemisphere sensibilities at the breakdown. Only NH ref I wouldn't prefer to SH are the French. Honestly, consistently the worst refs in history.
  8. Bit harsh playing "don't stop me now" when the ref has to go off injured
  9. What's with all the numbers
  10. It's a byproduct of the truly exceptional seeding that everyone is so happy about
  11. The fvcking choir is back.
  12. Fiji like to kick it in field to keep it live, the idea is to have Smith to counter. And tbf if you find yourself in a position where your full back is having to last ditch it then Fiji have probably already scored. They do a lot of their damage through the centre channels.
  13. Bit baffled by anyone taking issue with James Justin. We don't play conventional full backs, obviously anything he does is going to have to be completely relearning a position. Either he replaces Doyle and he just isn't left footed or he does the Ricardo role and he's been compared to either Ricky himself, who is one of the most technically gifted footballers we've ever had, or Hamza who is actually a midfielder. JJs strengths are his pace, energy and directness getting down the wing and we don't so that with full backs anymore.
  14. The thing is, I don't think the majority of people (and I'm talking about us, right, privileged western people sat thousands of miles away passing judgement) are denying or disagreeing with that sentiment. They just want the same to be said of both sides. Yes, there might be reasons that Israel have routinely evicted Palestinians from their homes, called them animals, locked them in a cage a zoo would be ashamed off, cut off their basic human needs, denied their basic human rights and then shelled them en masse. But there aren't excuses. And look, both sides are committing horrific atrocities but one is an objectively evil terrorist organisation that is near universally condemned by more or less every free, developed, democratic government on the planet and the other is supposed to BE a free, developed, democratic government. If you can't see that that's a lot of people's problem and why a lot of people hold Israel (the government) to a higher expected standard of behaviour than Hamas (the fundamentalist Islamic terror organisation) then I'm not sure we can help you.
  15. You actually watched Big Brother?
  16. Stolarczyk*, Choudhury (C), Moore, Nelson*, Chilwell*, Braybrooke, McAteer*, Alves, KDH, Barnes**, Adams Manager: Enzo Maresca Depressingly I think that would beat Wales currently * residency ** heritage / family (and residency tbh.)
  17. In fairness, the Glorious Republic of Leicestershire is significantly larger than Gibraltar. Shit, Hinckley is larger than Gibraltar. GRoL is twice the size of Euro 2016 quarter finalists Iceland! And everyone in this thread got hung up on the "people born in Leicester" angle. The whole point originally was to look beyond that at actual FIFA qualification rules and see who else we could get in. Genuinely think we'd probably have a better team than someone like Norn Iron.
  18. Got an assist and is being kept in the senior squad. Did OK tbf. But yknow, Gibraltar.
  19. Not strictly one of ours but thought maybe some of you might be interested to know one Leicester born Charlie Savage (yes, that Savage) had a solid debut and contributed an assist for Wales last night. Anyone feel old yet?
  20. Fvcking love The Bear.
  21. This is genius. How have we not done this before.
  22. I mean, they only need to score more than the opposition. It's alright saying they didn't score much vs Ireland and Scotland but they shut a vibrant Scotland attack completely down and kept them to 3pts. And did you watch their game against Ireland? It was absolutely, absurdly close. They ran in 50pts against Tonga and 70pts against Romania, they're capable of cutting loose but winning with defence first is just their thing and they're terrifyingly good at it.
  23. I think you'll beat Fiji more comfortably than you imagine. I certainly think it's in your own hands, in the sense that if you turn up and play a good game then it shouldn't really matter what Fiji throw at you. I just think England will have too much in the forwards and the set piece for Fiji to have enough of the game. Everyone makes a big deal of the fact they "came within a last minute dropped pass" against us and overlooks the fact we were 20 odd points ahead comfortably out in front and just got complacent in a way you don't do in a world cup quarter final. We let them back in by getting sloppy. Their other results were a decent win of a catastrophically bad Australia, an extremely narrow win against an awful Georgia and a loss to a Portugal side 50% full of amateurs. Their attack is great fun, they're super to watch and they've definitely improved significantly round the rest of the pitch in to an all round solid, professional side. But if you put in the kind of performance you did against Argentina then you'll probably just smother and kick them to death tactically.
