70% win record having to be versatile enough to coach a team to both break extremely defensive sides that are terrified of them and also play the opposite game, sitting back and countering. Master minded both the destruction of Germany and the record demolition of China. I'm down.

That Spurs one was absolutely peak Brendan Rodgers. Probably the most Brendan Rodgers moment of all time.

Rudkin: I'm going to ask Rowett Top: What about Enzo? Rudkin: boss.... Top: what? Rudkin: I mean... Top: just ask him. Rudkin: sigh. Alright, I'll ask him. Top: what did he say? Rudkin: ... I can't repeat it. Top: is he sure? Rudkin: he sounded very sure. Top: ... Ask Rowett. -

You can really tell the idiots on here by how often they moan about Seagrave. -
Realistic Managerial Replacements

I dunno. We're about to finally end the rolling 5 year contract cycle that got us in to this mess in the first place and that has hamstrung any attempt to spend and grow the squad for years because the wage bill got so massive. We're about to lose Daka, Soumaré, Ricardo, Winks and Ayew from the wage bill. Vards has already gone, Vestergaard and Faes are quite likely to follow at last. We'll probably generate another £50m selling BEK and Fatawu and the PSR looming threat should finally be done and dusted. It'll be a ghost town here, we'll have absolutely **** all squad, we'll need considerable recruitment. But equally, the clean slate comes with some positives and I'd be surprised if we don't finally see us able to spend this summer if we do stay up. I can see Top walking in to exactly the same mistake Vichai did when he arrived. Remember that Matt Mills era splurge? Going and trying to buy all the "stars" of the Championship and using our name and the size of the club as clout. I don't think it'll get us promoted but I do think it'll get us back up to mid table, top-10 kinda safety. If we survive this year I don't think we'll keep sliding downwards. The club had absolutely nothing going for it in that Holloway, Megson, Allen era. We consistently had no money and no means for years, slowly bringing together a squad of absolutely muck a few hundred k at a time. I just don't see us being in that desperate a situation now. -
In fairness, this is a pretty good example of how hard it is to find an interim manager at this point of the season and what kind of barrel you're scraping. Tudor is absolutely shit.

I believe that the right manager can come in and give this squad a stabilising impact that limps it to safety and then we can worry about the future. I know it's become a tired cliché we're all cautious of by now but this group of players genuinely is easily good enough to avoid the drop they just need galvanising. The tactics are largely irrelevant right now, they need a strong and positive man manager to inspire a bit of something in them. We need a trenches commander. I don't care if it's some old boy only until the summer, in fact it's arguably better if it is. -

What Game Are You Playing At The Moment ?
Finnegan replied to LeicesterBran's topic in Music and Gaming
In defence of Advent Children, I watched it when it actually first came out and whilst the story is obviously predictable and forgettable, as a piece of 3D art it was ****ing amazing. For its time it was extremely well done. I've not seen it in years so I assume it looks dated now but at the time the appeal was the same as something like watching Avatar in the cinema, awful ****ing film but technologically impressive to marvel at. -

Frank will easily get other top flight jobs after Tottenham. He's a great coach, it's not his fault they're a dumpster fire. Always wanted him here. Ridiculous how many turned their nose up at him when Rodgers needed sacking years ago. Not just for his ability as a coach but for the same reason Enzo gave us hope, he's got all that knowledge from working as part of a club that's actually functioning properly. -
LCFC 3-4 Southampton, post-match thread
Finnegan replied to Phil Mitchell's topic in Leicester City Forum
He's the management equivalent of Jeremy Monga though isn't he. Wildly unready for this. I said months and months ago people calling for him were being unfair, he needs to be left alone to develop. We're a dumpster fire right now and this is cruel. The first half is exactly why he has promise as a coach. Picks the right team, sends them out, we perform, everything is great. What happened in the second half required experience and confidence from someone with time in the job, though. When things started going wrong you have to know how to fix it and he just crumbled. He needs help ASAP. -
More embarrassing collapse than Rodgers Bournemouth away.
-
That's straight up embarrassing.
-
This is one of the worst refs we've had all year.
-
This could relegate us tbh. This will be an absolutely crushing loss of confidence. King needs to be replaced ASAP. He got unlucky with two red cards in two games but we absolutely need strong coaching.
-
@moore_94 I should be the manager.
-
Hope King learns from this. Parking the bus like this just never works. It creates panic and changing the whole defensive shape to something unfamiliar is dangerous.
-
Did Ayew just get booed?
-
Mess
-
@moore_94 Lascelles on
-
But that's my point, I wouldn't be sitting back on this at all I'd be looking to get fresh impetus further up the pitch and trying to establish more threat on the break to keep them honest. Bring the other new kid on. He's got pace for days even if he's raw.
-
I wouldn't change the defensive shape. Rodgers used to do this. It's a big mistake. Throws the players off. The better bet is looking to get more control of the game in the middle of the park. Not that we have anyone to do that necessarily
