  7. I keep getting dragged in to conversations about moderation on FoxesTalk, I need to clarify, I do **** all outside of TransferTalk and even there it's very light-touch. I'm not a mod, I don't have full mod powers and I don't want them. So speaking not as a "member of staff" but as a fairly argumentative forum user that's been here (possibly depressingly) for 20 odd years and 66k posts without ever being banned or even seriously warned, my one prevailing piece of wisdom for anyone that doesn't want to get a ban: Just don't be a twat. It blows my mind how many grown adults lack the social awareness to know when something's gotten a bit awkward, has gone on a bit far or for too long or is just winding everyone up. Like, all jokes aside, why the **** did it have to turn in to a meme to please not bring the Israel/Palestine conflict in to TransferTalk? The internet is a massive place, you can go wherever you want and debate global politics all you want, why do you need to repeatedly ignore requests to keep it down and keep banging on about a war thousands of miles away when discussing a footballer to whom it's tenuously relevant? "Tehehe we're stressing out Finners, lets keep talking about it". Why? Grow up. If you've been on FoxesTalk for more than two minutes (so, fair enough to @Torquay Gunner who is relatively new) you'll know that @Mark has always been hesitant to have political conversation on this forum because it just always, always, always - without fail - turns to ugly bitching eventually. I'm sorry but if you're going to seriously deny that you're either being hugely disingenuous or massively socially incompetent. Every time he yields to the constant bitching and opens up a General News or Politics thread it eventually slides the same way, with people being snide at each other and mass reports from loads of users constantly snitching on each other spamming Mark's inbox with requests. So he sighs, deals with it and all the crying starts about that. And loads of you get shockingly personal about it, as well. Mark runs this forum as a hobby and has done for decades, a forum that you all apparently love. Yet depressingly many of you entitled ****s are happy to start throwing personal abuse at him, making conspiratorial judgements about his politics or his personal opinions, coming in to this subforum and acting like such massive ****ing children. DEMANDING answers for why a post was deleted when 99% of the forum could tell you exactly why without you asking. You're not really asking, you know deep down why shit gets moderated, you're just looking to pick a fight about it. Honestly, what is it about the internet that just turns everyone insane? Really bright, intelligent, lovely, reasonable people like TPH, Daggers and now most recently Bilo having complete and total meltdowns because a post or two got deleted or they got put on the naughty step for a minute on the internet? Mark ever does give me a temporary ban or delete a few of my posts, first thing I'd do is just laugh it off and go and do something else for a bit. How do you get to the point of taking it so ****ing personally? I'm well aware this post will seem ironic because I no doubt sound quite frustrated (because I am a tiny bit) but as soon as I'm done, which is about 5 seconds from now, I'm going to go downstairs, make a cup of tea, forget about it and do something else. Christ alive, kids. Most of you are in your 30s and 40s by now.
  8. Ah, console peasant problems.
  9. Yeah I thought that.
  10. Very, very smart guy yeah.
  11. I was super opposed as well He's really kicked on Italy tbf, especially at Inter. Always felt he was a bit lightweight both physically and mentally in Germany, like an exaggerated caricature of how people saw Madders.
  12. Absolutely ****ing bonkers game of football. Some of the goals in this, my word.
  13. Borderlands 4 is so good
  14. I'm genuinely lost that this can be such a popular opinion. It's tragic how many of our fans are easily impressed by someone putting effort in. Always been the way. Are we back to the days of just being happy with Iain Hume? Ayew has managed one goal, a gift, no assists, went three games in a row without a shot on target, is too slow to press effectively, repeatedly fails to get his head up and look for team mates, constantly wasted possession shooting from outside the box and slows the game down almost every time he gets the ball. How has he been "bloody good"?
  15. His arm is by his side and it just hits him.
  16. We have no wingers or attacking midfielders to provide service or crosses. We have two strikers to front and Ayew is already slow. Daka might not be great and he might not be in good form but it's pretty obvious why he's been brought on instead of Carranza given the context.
  17. .... because we're a man down trying to counter...?
  18. Yeah but you're an idiot?
  19. WHY NOT SKIPP FFS
  20. He's more of a target man, back goal striker. You're not going to bring him on now are you? He didn't start because he's not had much game time at PSV. Hardly going to throw him on now are you.
  21. Winks and Ricardo add so much extra quality to this team
  22. Ayew is like that kid in school that thinks he's amazing so just keeps dribbling until he loses the ball and has no idea where his team mates are
