I'll lock this and the Daka threads after the Saudi and Turkey windows close. I'm pretty confident we won't sell either while our own window is closed and we can't buy replacements because the squad is too thin. But if the offer's big enough, it's possible, and one has been credibly linked to Saudi and the other to Turkey so, you never know.

Vietes is a professional number two. He's 26 years old and the most league games he's played for the first team of any club is 12 over a two year period at Lugo in the Spanish second tier. He's not coming in to replace Stolarczyk, he's free cover. If you dig back through Foxestalk, you'll find plenty of comments from people calling Danny Ward better than Kasper Schmeichel and calling for him to start because he'd made a couple of saves against like, Accrington Stanley or something in a cup game and Kasper had had a bad game in the Prem. Number two goalkeepers getting over rated by fans who barely ever see them play has got to be a staple of the Internet surely.

I really, really hope their "this is a complete revolution for football manager, we've rebuilt the game, it's a complete fresh start" doesn't just mean "we've updated the match engine." I'd like to see some significant change to how the game plays outside of match day.

Like his entire career? What a weird reaction.

He looks a shade under six foot and is pretty decent in the air. Seems fairly strong with his back to goal. He's not exactly a Kieffer Moore style throw back but looks pretty competent attacking a cross and receiving the ball to his feet under pressure.

My standout thought whenever I watch clips of him is that his movement off the ball is smart. Probably the most important trait of Vardy's. Biggest problem for Daka and Iheanacho is they never quite had the same sort of instincts. Yeah the team has to create good chances but you also need forwards to get in good positions to be picked out, it's a two way street. He isn't electric in his pace and a lot of goals look like quite simple around the penalty area but he seems good at getting himself free somewhere he can be picked out.

Bellers has rotated the midfield quite a lot since he came in. I think he's still at the stage of giving everyone a go and trying to build depth. He's started JJ more often than not but we've had a number of different combinations. I wouldn't read anything in to it.

It won't surprise me if, in the next month or so, he gets picked ahead of both Mavididi and Monga to start LW if Ramsey is playing 10.

I'll be genuinely surprised if Ayew isn't in the next few starting lineups at least. Nailed on to start at Oxford imo. Only question is where.

It's a really good header from an excellent cross when you see the thing properly. Nice goal all round.

We'll be quite dominant for large periods this season, especially if we get the midfield sorted. I'm less concerned by his top speed and more bothered about how well he can find space in the area when Fatawu, Mavididi, Monga, Ramsey, James, Ricky or Winks are trying to pick him out.

Think Tanner said Carranza does. Seen no hints at figures other than the €5m l'equipe claimed for JJ but I just can't possibly see that as being true.

Do we have reliable confirmation of which loans have options or obligations? From what I could see, I didn't actually notice any comments AFTER the deals were made? Wasn't expecting the club to but thought there might be something in the press?

I've only seen positivity from the Birmingham fans on reddit.
