We'll be quite dominant for large periods this season, especially if we get the midfield sorted. I'm less concerned by his top speed and more bothered about how well he can find space in the area when Fatawu, Mavididi, Monga, Ramsey, James, Ricky or Winks are trying to pick him out. -

Complaining that he's slow and from Argentina is a bit weird. -

Nada en absoluto. Las Malvinas son Uruguayas. -
I saw this and immediately imagined a meme version of the opposite for Leicester where we were reacting in horror to all the ones that were still here.

Can't wait to see the dynamism of that Ayew Carranza 9/10 partnership against Oxford. Phwoar. -
Think Tanner said Carranza does. Seen no hints at figures other than the €5m l'equipe claimed for JJ but I just can't possibly see that as being true.

Do we have reliable confirmation of which loans have options or obligations? From what I could see, I didn't actually notice any comments AFTER the deals were made? Wasn't expecting the club to but thought there might be something in the press?

I've only seen positivity from the Birmingham fans on reddit.

Our strongest 11 now we know our squad.

I don't think we'll let Faes or Daka go until January, to be honest. I think that's it now. Doesn't look like Cifuentes entirely trusts Nelson yet and Souttar is still a way off. At the other end, Carranza hasn't kicked a ball yet and would be the only recognised striker on the books if Daka goes. -
So how are we all feeling now the window has closed.

Just watch a few clips. He's very obviously not 5'9 -

Yeah I think fans probably need to get used to the fact there's a lot more Faes to come. He's probably still out best centre back if people can put their personal feelings aside. I acknowledge that says more about our squad building than his ability. I think he'll get his starting place back alongside Vestergaard now the window is closed. Tbh, I hope Winks does too and I know that'll be unpopular as well. With JJ giving us a bit of strength in the middle I hope we can drop Bouba and properly get Winks back on board. Again, however unpopular he is, he's just better than the alternatives. -

Impossible to say because two of our signings are unknown quantities. The "dream" is probably: Stolarczyk Ricardo, Nelson, Vestergaard, Thomas Winks, JJ Fatawu, Ramsey, Mavididi Carranza I have a suspicion next game will probably be: Stolarczyk Hamza, Okoli, Vestergaard, Thomas Soumare, JJ Fatawu, Ramsey, Ayew Carranza Or if Ramsey isn't deemed ready, Fatawu, Ayew, Mavididi. -
I'm normally all for listening to fans of other clubs but this is the saltiest shit I've heard in ages. This is saltier than Leicester fans pretending Bilal is crap. JJ walks back in to their team in a heart beat. They're probably the worst team we've played this year so far.

that one's in Mexico now

Hard to say until we see Carranza and Ramsey in action. Before deadline day I couldn't see us threatening the top two at all and I wouldn't have even put money on us being top six. But if these three bring some enthusiasm and optimism to the squad and if Carranza turns out to be the tidy finisher we hope, with Fatawu, Monga, Ramsey and Mavididi setting him up? There's definitely potential there. With the window closed, we might also get the likes of Faes and Winks back on board. I don't give a shit what the fans think of them or how much people are sulking about them, they are potential match winners at this level whether you like it or not and if Cifuentes can get them in the mood we'll be looking good. I'd say I'm settling on cautiously optimistic. That'll probably shatter when JJ does his acl on international duty, Ramsey turns out to be nowhere near ready for a return and Carranza makes Ayew look like Pele. -
Hard to say until we see what Ramsey and Carranza are going to be like and how much Cifuentes takes to them. With the supply he'll get from Fatawu alone, Carranza could have a very solid year but he could also be a flop and it's the most important position we needed to recruit for. JJ is a known quantity and if we really can sign him for €5m that is frankly bonkers. Even twice that wouldn't be unreasonable. I don't think he's quite as good as some of our fans are hyping him up in their heads but he's definitely very solid at this level and better than what we have. Especially compared to Skipp for 25m. I'd say maybe 6/10 at the moment? We've done no harm to ourselves, we've potentially added profitable value and we've reinforced in key areas without much expense. But let's not kid ourselves, this SHOULD be barely par.
-
L'equipe said five, and I think that was in euros, but it's not been reported elsewhere I don't think? €5m is frankly ridiculous. To be honest. If he has the season he could have for us this year he could easily be a 12-15m footballer.
-
A brace albeit the second took a massive deflection and iirc he might have accidentally set up our first. It was an all round decent performance though. Took the first really well.

I mean... they are only loans

Tom Collomosse is one of the more credible journalists that report on Leicester.

It's not even just that, there's no deadline on when we have to announce it. Could take hours after a deal is completed to actually announce. They'll want to take pictures with him holding a shirt, do an interview, all that press shit. Doesn't mean the paperwork wasn't done hours ago.
-
He actually posted the same tweet in two different threads at the exact same time. 10 seconds before Tom Collomosse posted it.

Competent ones? Sure:
