The rules are a farce to start with and we're only brought in by Chelsea, Man U, Liverpool and Arsenal to stop any more Man Citys, all while those teams bend the rules so much themselves. Plus the charges trigger Man U and Liverpool fans so much. To be honest it's mainly this one.

I hope Man City get away with all the charges

Said this at the time. Was our best owner of course, but its a bit odd.

Championship 2024/2025 Season Thread
Nalis replied to Happy Fox's topic in General Football and Sport
I love this about the championship, I keep an eye on it but you always get those 'how tf are they in the play off spots?' when it feels like a team comes out of nowhere to get up there -
Celtic above Real Madrid in the table at the half way point

It's so 50/50 you'd think a guy from Fame Academy was going to drop an early 00s banger

Boubs must have support sometimes

Is Fulham v Brentford the most uninspiring derby in Premier league history? Fulham have a decent ground I suppose
-
Maybe on the pitch but off it they are worlds apart, KDH a far classier person

Case in point being our matchday threads

Consistency is going to be huge factor for the teams chasing 4th and 5th and most of them fail badly at simply being consistent. Difference in quality between Villa, Spurs, Chelsea, Man Utd and Newcastle isn't massive. I feel Chelsea are marginally the most consistent of the lot.

Getting their CB pairing was a coup, the type of astute signings we were making about 5 or 6 years ago. They'll either stay at help them on the pitch or get sold for Fofana / Maguire type money which means they can reinvest.

I see your four letter player anagram and raise to 10 letters Harry Winks = Harrys Wink

Through what I do, I end up talking to a lot of new people across England and the conversation occasionally switches to football. I've been amazed at the amount of times Vardy comes up positively in conversation even when I haven't mentioned I'm a Leicester fan (I'm not from Leicester either so its assumed I support Man Utd or Liverpool since I'm Irish) and the people bringing him up randomly in conversations support all sorts of teams. The good thing is most fans praise his unique style of play and his finishing rather than just acknowledging his shithousery.

Should have been Kane and Vardy up front together in 2018 for England, Alli was already starting to dip so should have been the one to make way. Sterling had a poor tournament but came into it off a great season so would have been harsh to drop Sterling.

It's always used about our title winning season but using the performance of English teams in Europe on a particular season as a barometer, in the champions league Man City got to the semis and Liverpool got to the final of the europa league. Last season there were no English teams in either the champions league or europa league semi finals. If Arsenal won the league last season I doubt many would have said they only won it because it was a poor premier league.

The more you see it the more it looks like a penalty to be fair.

New manager - Yes Cooper still in charge - No
-
They deserve the plaudits for being 3rd at this early stage of the season. They only can say they've done a Leicester when they win the league in the cartel rich 6 era.

Southampton win is good for us. We'll still be 15th regardless of the Palace Wolves result
-
We're in November and when playing 11 v 11 we've only deserved a point or two at best. We've never had a more fortunate manager than this clown, his luck has to run out at some point
