I’m not sure you’ve quoted the right post but Yes, I agree.

I know it’s descended into argument, which is perhaps inevitable whenever the topic is raised, but it’s been interesting to see the response given the opportunity of asking “what has/hasn’t Solomon done” because it’s not clear from a simple search.

I don’t usually post here but I play every day and felt the need to share: Wordle 1,530 1/6 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 Today is my day, people.

Kristiansen is a feather. The kind of guy you want in the opposing trenches. When the going gets tough he mysteriously disappears, and when the going’s good he’s still nothing special. Yes, he’s better than Thomas technically. But at least Thomas has some fight in him. Selling him to Forest would be great business.

Not too difficult. I had to convert it to a different format to create a small batch in paperback form using Blurb* - that took a little time because the auto-conversion wouldn’t de-italicise so I had to go through the whole novel tweaking that. I can’t remember whether I used that Blurb format or the original Word document to self-publish on Amazon but I don’t remember there being any problem either way. The thing I most remember about it was having to fill out a massive online tax declaration due to Amazon being American-based. I never heard anything about that again, which means either I filled it in correctly or sales are too low for anyone to care. *I mean by this that I wanted to create a paperback batch; I don’t believe this to be a necessity for publishing on Amazon. In fact, publishing on Amazon is very likely far cheaper.

I’ve written one. Self-published on Amazon, although never did anything more with it. Writing is ridiculously hard though and can take so long (In my case around 4 years). I also wrote another novel before it that turned out to be trash, and have written about 2/3 of a first draft of one that’s currently on hold because I’m not feeling it right now. I wish you good luck with yours; it’s hard for me to offer any advice because I’ve never had any success. Perhaps too afraid of failure, which doesn’t help, but also I’m a very poor salesman. But what I will say is that I’m very proud of the self-adjudged “good” story I wrote, success or otherwise. I hope that you find the continued enthusiasm to work at yours, that you enjoy the moments of magic and inspiration that come to you, and that you’re proud of the result.

Not even curious?

Can I propose a deal with you? - If we reach Jan 1st 2026 and there’s been no nuclear war, you consider that you might be paranoid about it and change your behaviour to reduce that paranoia. - If, on the other hand, we’ve all been blown to pieces by then, you can come on here and tell me that you told me so.
-
As awful as nukes are, any debate always comes down to one thing for me: You can’t uninvent something. The possibility of a despot developing nukes in an otherwise nuke-free world and using them to blackmail the planet has to be covered off. That’s why what we have right now has to be the best worst option. Granted they should not be waved around like toys or with threats, idle or otherwise.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/ce379k4v3pwo Happy to hear other views, but to me this looks like a stupid, stupid decision. All I see as a result of this is the more powerful or polluting countries pulling away from climate agreements and obligations.
-
I remain a massive fan of the BBC; I think the country is far better for having it and its future genuinely affects my vote in elections. However, that doesn’t mean I agree with every decision they make. Like everyone and everything, they’re not perfect and get things wrong sometimes when faced with multiple conflicting positions.

I’m yet to be convinced Torode has done anything wrong. At least nothing significant that wasn’t a one-off and apologised for immediately. Feels like they just wanted a reboot for Masterchef and flushed his career down the loo as collateral.

Another vote for Ricky P.

Pro-Dyche. I don’t think he’s nearly as anti-youth as people think. His downside in terms of style and low-scoring matches is well documented, but I think he’s the kind of strong presence that would greatly benefit the club right now, including the young flair players coming through. That doesn’t make me anti-Rohl; I’d be happy with either for different reasons. I’m mostly just glad it’s not Martin.

What Game Are You Playing At The Moment ?

An interesting addition to the FF series. I found the acting was great, the battle system was massively underdeveloped, the story was decent, but the major selling point was that I found myself caring about the world and the people in it right to the end. -
I find February is a real drag.
-
I’m enjoying the mix this series, although it feels like a one-horse race if treated as an actual competition.

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official
Dunge replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
We’re waiting for Ruud to die of old age so we don’t need to offer any payout. -
I think I’m banned from General News; I don’t have a reply option anymore anyway. I assume I’d have to contact the mods to change that?

What Game Are You Playing At The Moment ?
Dunge replied to LeicesterBran's topic in Music and Gaming
I don’t buy many games these days, particularly outside my circle of familiarity, but this keeps catching my attention. Might have to bite the bullet and go for it. Having grown up with the golden era of Final Fantasy, I’m certainly familiar with turn-based RPG play. I like the newer style Action-RPG showcased in the FF7 Remake series better, but what I’ve read of this - that you can still time blocks and evasion on your opponent’s turn - does appeal. -
I think what Mac’s saying is that it’s one thing to put up a blocker to stop a tidal wave going in one direction, but his concern is that the tidal wave could then turn around and power back the other way.

For a start, they need to unrelentingly point out Reform’s softness/complicity with Russia. They’re weak on national defence and that needs hammering. They also need a detailed immigration plan to highlight Reform’s weakness in detail but that’s a lot tougher for a number of reasons.
