  1. Jesus Christ, I cannot believe simply how miserable people are. Just enjoy the fact we’ve made a winning start to the season. Plenty of improvement needed of course. Dread to think what this place would be like had we not won. Painful.
  2. Even though they’d barely stepped foot in our half when they had 11, in the second half
  3. The exact people moaning are the ones that slate him. If you give it out, be prepared to take some back.
  4. Totally agree, and fair play to them.
  5. Wasn’t offside else it gets brought up in any post game analysis. Also, don’t give the ref the opportunity to book you for dissent, it’s that simple.
  6. Let’s have it right, we absolutely battered them. Their keeper making plenty of smart saves has kept the game respectable and a lot closer than it actually was. Their only chances came from counter attacks. First half we were very slow and it was frustrating but Winks coming on changed the game and the way it was played for us. A bit more tempo second half along with some resilience and being a bit more direct took it out of them. We desperately need a striker, although Ayew had his best game for us - him dropping deep is leaving a massive hole in the box. Fatawu absolutely brilliant, it’s imperative that we keep him, along with Bilal. We played some tidy stuff as the game went on. Two unlike goal scorers which again alludes to us needing a striker but doesn’t matter who scores. Always nice to start with a win, great for momentum and confidence.
  7. That’s fair enough. Was just saying it wouldn’t taste any different. You’ve probably eaten halal without even knowing it.
  8. This is brilliant from Bairstow in the 20 balls less than the vitality blast tournament
  9. Let’s face it. No one in the squad currently, or who we’d sign would be a fitting replacement wearing the number 9. But unfortunately we have to move on. Seen a few people saying “we should’ve retired the 9”. But what message does that send out to any potential signing?
  10. Welcome Amartey
  11. You wouldn’t be able to tell if you were eating halal or not. The difference is In the way that it’s slaughtered.
  12. Does anyone challenge him?
  13. Superb mate thank you. Looks like I’ll be £100 lighter tomorrow afternoon
  14. Your mood in 10 words? Fairly optimistic, the early signs are positive enough. Where will we finish? It’s all dependant on the points deduction. I’ve seen nothing that can stop us winning the league. Top 6 for sure. How many points will we be deducted? I would say 9 is likely, but hoping for 6 as best case scenario. Who will be our most important player? If we keep him, Bilal. Who will be top scorer? Ayew. What are you most excited about? Fatawu & Monga. What are you most worried about? The potential lack of goals from midfield. What’s one thing you most want to see this season? That the players care and want to be here. Which player is going to surprise us? Luke Thomas. Certainly capable at this level, has bulked up a bit. Needs consistent games, there’s something there for sure. Which player do you most want out the door? Probably Faes. Often seems like he can’t be arsed, would also make an easier pathway for my preferred centre half pairing of Okoli and Nelson. Which player linked with a move are you most desperate to keep? El Khanouss. Will Martí Cifuentes still be the manager this time next year? He will be yes.
  15. Was there a press release of when the other kits are out? 16th?
  16. Can totally agree with this.
  17. Glad neither of them won
  18. I’m sorry but there’s no chance you’re walking western park to the KP in 20 mins
  19. Jesus are you a speed walker?
  20. All the commentators keep referring their t20 records, says it all.
  21. So with the 3 leaving, we’ll have gained £28m in transfer fees, plus a saving of at least £7.5m a year in wages. Hopefully we can get a couple in on sensible wages and try to start keeping our heads above the water.
  22. It’s just about how they manage it isn’t it. Yep all other counties will get it of course, but hopefully being in division 1 and the luxury of being able to offer that little more regardless of what others can offer will be nice.
  23. And with a £28m windfall incoming we should be able to build a competitive squad.
