Andrew Strauss, well it was his idea to have 4 rounds of CC games with the different ball. You look around at all the other first innings scores and at one time most first innings scores were 170ish with only 1 or 2 wickets down, barring Lancs but even then they managed to recover well and post a decent enough total.

The pitch will be in perfect condition come the 3rd August.
