I think a lot of us had this problem. We turned our noses up at managers who, now, wouldn’t even consider us.
-
No one will take him if they have to pay a fee as well as the wages he will want. Best case we give him away, worst case we have to loan him out and pay a large part of his wages. Either way we don’t want him near the squad poisoning the rest of them.

I know I am being pedantic here, but you can’t have an assist as the last kick of the game. If it is an assist then the goal must have come after. Sorry -

Agreed, but we are in League 1, so it will be a long time before we have to worry about a European standard midfield. I am still excited to see how they perform next season. -
It makes sense for the player and loaning club if the club don't want to pay all of his wages.

Seen comments saying SPL is equivalent to League 1, so should be close. -
The team this season didn’t give a Fuchs, so not sure that is a good idea. 😕
-
He’s a fantastic player. I can see him being amazing for them. They will be so lucky to get him. 🤞
-
Not convinced he would be calling anyone out in public. He seemed more diplomatic than that. I would think he could get things done without creating waves. Still not sure I would want him to risk his reputation here though.

AI really is shit isn’t it. 😀

Is amortisation an issue in League 1 given the different rules? I know a loss is a loss, but not sure of the impact.

Cartwright and Braybrooke starting next season, if Cartwright stays, looks like he is out of contract
-
Beat me to it😀
-
Cartwright just scored for Falkirk. Came on in the 62nd, scored in the 63rd minute. 😀

Maybe to show potential future employers that they can when they want to.
-
Good underlap and assist for Souttar's goal though.

The "do they mean us?" thread pt 4

Not to bring you down, but I am not sure how many of those will still be with us next season. Page did well in the Championship when he was allowed to play, Aluko showed a few glimpses of talent, as has Evans in League One, Alves hasn't had much opportunity, but has looked Good in flashes, and who can ignore the Leicester Iniesta. Given that they are pure profit we may end up selling any for whom we receive decent offers. -
The problem is finding clubs willing to pay this lot similar wages to what we have been paying. Obviously some will be willing to take a lower wage in return for a longer contract, but how many will just think f**k it and just sit back and take the money for a year.
-
Has he shown any interest in managing?
-
The problem is these players were clearly on their way down when we signed them. If we were bringing in players at their peak with a couple more years at that level then I think it would be fine. We should be looking at decent, out of contract Championship players and offering them a reasonable League 1 wage, but with significant promotion bonuses.

I would have thought that Wilson-Brown is ahead of Gray since he has League 2 experience. Although they are all accademy graduates, the majority do have league football experience. You could also include Opoku who has played in League 2, although he hasn't been overwhelming there.

Relegation, League 1, financial implications

If Seagrave is owned outright then can we not borrow against that asset, i.e. remortgage it? I know this is only kicking the can down the road and would depend on the current cashflow situation, but might be a short-term option. -
I love that idea, he can do to them what he has done to us, helped us into league 1.

How do we resolve the fan divide issue

Bring in players who are willing to fight for the shirt. Sorts everyone except those miserable ****ers who just like to complain. -
I know how we can win, we play a new formation, 10-5-4, put the whole squad on the pitch, including 3 goalkeepers and we have a chance of scraping a 1 - 0.
