Bottom end of that plus a few million in addons would be my guess
-
Yes please, a left footed midfielder who can score and assist, according to the video!
-
Your first two sentences make opposing arguments, Barnes can't be premier level because we are in the championship, but Ward isn't premier level, despite starting in the prem. My view is that Barnes is prem level and will get a transfer to a mid-level prem team and Ward will be lucky to go on a free to the National League.

Not sure if I agree with that. If we are going to be as sure as we can of promotion we have to be competing with clubs from the bottom half of the Premier League.

Manager for the Championship rebuild - who do you want?

I googled what this means, "Let him in"?, but Fallo on it's own means failure! I was worried for a moment! -
Manager for the Championship rebuild - who do you want?

Best thing I have read today: - “If you take the foot off the gas and think you’ve cracked it, he’ll put you on the bench. Every player now in training or games has given 110% because your spot isn’t guaranteed. I know we’ve got to go out and implement the new tactics but what Enzo’s told us to do and how the games have planned out is everything that he’s said." Manager for the Championship rebuild - who do you want?

I read an article a few days ago about Man City and Maresca, I think it was a quote from Maresca saying their style of play was not about possession, it was about control. I think this is the difference, when we had the ball last season we usually didn't know what to do with it, no one was showing for it and the opposition knew they could press whenever they were ready and get the ball back. -

That might actually be worse than us hiring him.🤷♀️ -
If the people saying we will only get 30m are correct then it may be worth keeping him for a year or at least until January. He has 2 years left on his contract. If he can reproduce his WBA form he could help us get promotion. Even with a year left on his contract he would still be worth close to 30m unless he really downs tools, which would be cutting off his nose to spite his face.

45m + 5m add ons is my guess.

Manager for the Championship rebuild - who do you want?

This is why I am quite excited about us bringing in Maresca. I can see us buying or loaning top young players from Man City EDS. The trouble is I am getting feelings of deja vu. I thought it was great when we got Peter Taylor, he would use his knowledge and contacts from his time as England under 21 manager to bring in the top Young talent from England and around the world. Instead we got Junior Lewis! -

That's the most sensible reason for rejecting a potential manager that I have seen on here for some time. -
So, Players for the Championship rebuild, who do you want?
Merchant_Banker replied to Sir Shep's topic in Transfer Talk
My thoughts on what we need: - The following players have reached the end of their contracts and should, in theory, be replaced: - Evans, Amartey, Soyuncu, Bertrand, Mendy, Perez, Tete. We are in negotiation with Evans, but nothing agreed yet, so he is still in this list. There are strong roumours that the following players are attracting interest and I believe we will/ should sell Maddison, Barnes, Castagne. So with the remainder of the existing squad and a few additions from returning loans and under-21s we have: - Goalkeeper Iversen, Ward, Smithies, Stolarczyk - We seem strong here, but I am not sure any of us want Ward anywhere near a match day squad and Stolarczyk probably needs at least one more loan, so we need at least one more keeper. Right Back Pereira, Justin, Wormleighton - Looks ok if Pereira stays and both he and Justin can stay fit. Centre Back Faes, Souttar, Vestergard, Brunt, B. Nelson - We would all like to get rid of Vestergard, but maybe we have reached his level. Re-signing Evans would give us more cover, but can he stay fit? Probably need an CB, preferably a leader/ organiser Left Back Kristiansen, Thomas - Ok if Thomas stays. Defensive Midfield Ndidi, Choudhury - Ok if Ndidi stays and recovers some form. Central Midfield Dewsbury-Hall, Soumare - Ok, but maybe one short. Attacking Midfield - At least two creative attacking midfielders required Right Wing/ Midfield Praet, Albrighton, Marcal-Madivadua - Praet will probably leave, Albrighton did not get in a WBA team trying to get promoted last year, so not good enough for us, Marcal-Madivadua is too inexperienced to rely on. At least one RW still required. Left Wing/ Midfield Maswanhise - Only one inexperienced option, so we need at least 1 more LW. Striker Iheanacho, Vardy, Daka, Hirst - If we can keep all of these then we will get goals, even Hirst could score! So we need 1 keeper, 1 CB leader, 1 CM, 2 AM, 1 RW, 1 LW. My suggestions would be: - Keeper - Kasper!!! CB - Coady CM - Gustavo Hamer, Cairney AM - Ilias Chair RW - Omari Hutchison (Loan) LW - Carlos Borges (Loan) If Iheanacho leaves then bring in Gyokeres -

That was what I meant in my last sentence. I would expect a lot to leave nearer the end of the window -

Iversen Justin Souttar Faes Kristiansen Choudhury Soumare KDH Pereira Iheanacho Daka As mentioned, the first game of the season is before deadline day, so I would expect some to still be here who will leave later. We need Barnes and Maddison to leave early so we will know the budget available to bring in more players. -

Awful news, Lampard is no longer available. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/65199597

Not sure if it's been mentioned before, but a friend of mine suggested that Bo Svensson from Mainz might be an option. My friend was chatting to a friend of his who is a football agent and said Svensson is looking for a move to the Prem. My friend is a Spurs fan and was taking the p*ss about the result at the weekend, so it might be BS.

Just because Schmeichel played for God knows how many years without an injury doesn't mean that Ward and Iversen will. We may be grateful to have a competent 3rd choice keeper.
