Martí Cifuentes Pre-Match Press Conference On this week, after Southampton 💬 “We had honest conversations about the things we need to be better. It has been an important reflection point. I’m here to focus on how we can perform better and that has been definitely the approach.” On returning to Filbert Way 🏟️ “It’s so important at home we create the feeling we’re strong at home. We know the table is so tight. It’s important at this time of the season to get a good dynamic and rhythm.” On Sheffield United ⚔️ “They’re a team that started the season not in the way they wanted. An experienced manager, who knows the club, then comes back. Definitely, the team has improved. They have players who know the division very well. They’re in a good moment.” Injuries Goalkeeper Jakub Stolarczyk has been absent since withdrawing against Middlesbrough on 4 November and Asmir Begovic has come into the XI during that period as our No.1’s condition continues to be monitored in Seagrave. “Jakub has been feeling better,” Cifuentes told the media on Friday, ahead of Saturday’s 12:30pm GMT kick-off against the Blades. “Obviously, not much training but the good thing is he is feeling much better. We’re going to have discussions [around selection] and take the decision today.” Okoli, meanwhile, will remain out with an injury sustained at Norwich City on 8 November and is expected to possibly be back in contention at some stage over the Christmas or New Year period. “We were waiting for some tests to get an answer when he could be ready,” Cifuentes added. “Unfortunately, those tests came back with news he will be away probably for a few weeks with a knee injury. “When he will be available for selection, it’s difficult to say if it’s before or after Christmas, but it will be around that.” On Nelson’s condition, who also picked up an issue at Norwich, he said: “He’s feeling better and better. He’s been training individually in the last couple of days in the pitch. “He's got good feelings and actually it has been more positive than we’d expect in the beginning and the plan is to start training with the team next week.” Updating on the rest of the squad, the Manager also confirmed that Souttar – yet to feature for the Foxes this term – is back in team training. Ramsey and Kristiansen are also working towards returns. “Everybody is progressing well,” Cifuentes continued. “Harry is training back with the team. It’s very good news for everyone but I’m glad especially for him after such a long period away. “But obviously he will need to get some rhythm. Aaron is progressing well but not close yet and then you know the last [update] about Victor. Everybody [else] is fine.” -
https://www.lcfc.com/pages/en/media-article/leicester-city-lcfc-foxes-sheffield-united-sufc-blades-sky-best-championship-marti-cifuentes-fitness-injury-news Harry Souttar is back in team training working towards fitness after a long-term injury, Ben Nelson’s approaching a return to group work in Seagrave and Caleb Okoli is set for a spell out out action. Aaron Ramsey and Viktor Kristiansen, on the other hand, continue to work towards their own rehabilitation. Until we get the new technical director in I wouldn’t be surprised with the 2 plums who would be making that decision
-
He knows we will at least double, probably triple his wages
-
Good chance he will have us in 16th after Saturday I will be very surprised if we get anything from the 3 after that as well - Derby (A), Bristol City (A), Ipswich (H) Depending on when we get the points deduction we could end up in or at least very close to the relegation zone, and he certainly hasn’t shown anything so far to make me think he would be able to get any of these players to improve in form
-
Also good at underrating our own players

Southampton 3-0 LCFC, post-match thread
moore_94 replied to Phil Mitchell's topic in Leicester City Forum
People will do this unfortunately, like they tried with Nelson and the Huddersfield game -
Wouldn’t be surprised to see a Championship side go for him if he carries on his season like this 11 goals and 1 assist in 20 games 7 goals and 1 assist in 13 league games Bring him home
-
I always find it quite funny how he doesn’t even just fall down, he always goes absolutely flying with his legs and arms flailing all over the place

Realistic Managerial Replacements
moore_94 replied to winteriscoming's topic in Leicester City Forum
A lot of managers because they know it probably won't end up as a "mark" on their CV because of how shit we have been under the 3 managers before whoever comes in next And they will also get a good payoff when they are inevitably sacked -
I would love to know what he actually does in training drills, tactical sessions etc.
-
Can’t coach a defence or attack We are pathetic in all areas of the pitch
-
We want 5 We want 5

Would be Hamza at right back Would not be surprised at all if he goes with Okoli in centre back and Faes at left back (he specifically mentioned Faes as an option at left back)

Premier League has charged LCFC with an alleged breach of PSR
moore_94 replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
https://www.skysports.com/football/news/32461/13474908/leicester Leicester will face three separate charges this time: breaching the PSR limit in season 2023-24 when the club was last in the Championship; failing to file their annual accounts with the Premier League before the December 31 deadline; breaching an explicit rule in the League's handbook which gives all clubs an "obligation to provide full, complete and prompt assistance to the Premier League." Independent commentators have told Sky Sports News Leicester's defence is likely to focus on the principle that the second two charges hold no weight: having won their case in the courts to say the Premier League was acting beyond its jurisdiction, they feel they were equally under no obligation to provide their accounts by the allotted time. As such, they may be able to argue there is no validity in the suggestion that they were failing to co-operate with the football authorities. However, there is added complication here because following Leicester's successful appeal, the Premier League took the case to arbitration, and in May 2025 that panel found in the League's favour: "Jurisdiction to investigate the alleged breach… is, therefore, established." It was this decision by the arbitration panel that led the Premier League to bring the three new charges that Leicester are now facing. It is difficult to predict what punishment Leicester might receive if the independent commission goes against them, especially because the exact size of Leicester's breach of PSR rules has never been made public. However, a nine-point penalty is a distinct possibility - three points for each of the three charges. Breaching the PSR limit by more than £20m carries an automatic three-point penalty under the rules, with three further points being deducted if the Premier League wins each of its other arguments - that Leicester failed to submit their accounts on time, and that they didn't co-operate fully with the League. If the Championship club were to be given such a hefty penalty, Sky Sports News has been told it is expected they will appeal. There has been no comment from Leicester, the EFL or the Premier League on the matter, with each observing their obligation of confidentially while the disciplinary process plays out.
