Looking forward to 2.30 on Saturday when we can finally confine this bin fire of a season to history, along with nearly all of the overpaid, underperforming wasters besmirching our badge, all being well.

Leicestershire County Cricket Club

How come Weatherald has not come back in? Thought he had cramp? -
Blackburn is in reality a much smaller club than us and Sheff Wed never had the success we had. Leeds under Ridsdale is probably the closest comparison to us as they gambled financially to challenge for the top 4 and did pretty well for a while in terms of qualifying for Europe and getting to the SF of the UCL. They also crashed quickly to League One, as we have. But they didn't win anything like us so their fall was still not as spectacularly bad as ours.

Anyone remember Shrewsbury at home 1980s
Sunbury Fox replied to Paninistickers's topic in Leicester City Forum
Correct. The manager was Gordon Milne. Lineker and Smith were up front, with Stevie Lynex and Ian Wilson out wide. -
No, which is precisely why Dumb and Dumber need to go.

If Stockport don't go up, and possibly even if they do, then I would seriously look at Dave Challinor. He's had season after season of promotions - or at least getting to the play offs - and knows the league and its players very well. He may now think Stockport have reached their ceiling and want a new challenge at a club with more potential. His appointment would have Brian Little vibes, I think.

Can you even get streams for this crap league?
-
Was a great player back in the day but has been an abomination this season. Slow, clumsy and error prone. Can't even pass and control the ball any more. Epitomises our sad fall from grace.

This guy is lucky not to have had more stick. Has been abysmal. Even Ayew has been better. Get him gone for any pennies we can get.

LCFC 2-2 Hull, post-match thread
Sunbury Fox replied to Phil Mitchell's topic in Leicester City Forum
Agree. Ran his socks off all game and was always looking to create. Great ball in for the second goal. If he'd still been on the pitch, reckon he'd have bagged one of the several chances that Ramsey messed up. -
Can't watch this, thankfully.

Finally had a go for 20 minutes when we were already practically down.

LCFC 2-2 Hull, post-match thread

Being relegated 2 games before the end of the season in this crappest of all Championships is some achievement. That Hull team have been in the top 6 nearly all season. -
Make no subs until 70 minutes. And then it will probably be Winks on for JJ.
-
Main positive is that we've only got another 2.5 games left to suffer before we get a 3 month break from this absolute sh1tshow.
-
Going down with a whimper as we all expected.
-
The underlying stats in games have been marginally better under him, compared to Marti, but he's just too cautious with his approach and selections, which has cost us in the end. Out of his depth at a club of this size.
-
Clearly a fan of another team on the wind up.
-
Since his first 2 games he's totally switched off. It was overlooked at the time but he also walked straight past those young fans at Sheff Wed, like Ayew. Has bags of talent but he won't make it at Man City with the kind of attitude he's shown here, even allowing for the fact he's come into a total bin fire as a very young player.
-
If we had a team who cared, worked and scrapped, there might be the tiniest chance of that happening. We don't.
-
That list of names makes me bang up for our next chapter.

What players will be here next season in Div 1
Sunbury Fox replied to StevieH's topic in Leicester City Forum
Must have been a cracking night for you last night. Maybe time to sleep it off. -
Rohl was the obvious choice and might have been able to get a tune out of this lot. But wasn't it the need to pay compensation to Wednesday that scuppered that happening? Or did Rudkin think Cifuentes was the better bet?!
-
Has added no value and made no difference. Compare his impact to that of other managers brought in around the same time at other struggling clubs eg Bloomfield at Oxford, Morrison at West Brom and O'Neill at Blackburn. Awful.
-
On the plus side, we've won the last 5 games on xG.
