The top teams are hopeless this year. Boro not even got to close to goal in the last 30 minutes or so.

Yeah but the **** is still on the bench so no doubt we'll have to suffer him for at least 30 minutes when no doubt we'll be chasing goals to get even a point.

Hopefully Ayew has now been completely ostracised from the squad and we won't have to see him besmirch our shirt ever again. Hate is a strong word but I'm practically there when it comes to him now.

After the Norwich and QPR games, I've decided that I will never again go into any game feeling positive about this group of shysters.

My main hope today is that when we lose we don't lose ground on our rivals. After last week's unmitigated disaster, I have zero confidence in this team to get any kind of result against a team chasing the play offs.

Just giving my view. Stand by the fact that we don't have 1 good CB so very unsure about wasting an extra place in the team by shoehorning 3 of them in. Also, in a 352 you will end up having to play one of our few good players, Fatawu, out of position to make the formation work. And are you proposing to play both Daka and Ayew up top as they are the only 2 'strikers' we have? If not, we're again having to play someone else out of position. Genuinely interested to know what your XI would be in a 352 formation, as I'm struggling to think of a viable selection, given the players we have available.

Lyon out and now Roma about to be. The last 8 looks so weak. We're basically relying on Villa, which is horrific in itself.

This season just gets worse and worse.

I can see the temptation of a change in system but in my view it would be risky to try to implement it so late in the season with only a few games left to save ourselves. Also not at all convinced we have the players for it. We will end up with even more crap CBs and crap strikers in the teams, whilst not having anyone in the squad who can play both parts of the wing back role effectively.

It's very likely that Portsmouth and West Brom will pick up points in those games, though.
