  1. No coming back from yesterday for RM, especially given his post match comments. This will be his final swansong with another limp defeat nailed on. Then it will be back to the drawing board yet again. Hard to see any decent manager wanting to come into this bin fire to replace him.
  2. The transfer windows in Portugal, Switzerland and Saudi Arabia are still open so there's still hope we could shift him?
  3. I checked the score on the BBC website at one point yesterday pm and I swear it showed Hull as 100 not out - my youngest can vouch for me as I showed him my screen in surprise. Then checked back later to see he was out for 97 and was gutted for him. Obviously the BBC cocked up somehow. Good to see the lads fighting so hard. Even if we go down, which is probably most likely, given the remaining fixtures, we've put up a fight. We've also brought in some good young players like Gumbs and Shaikh, to go with our own promising youngsters like Rehan, Alex Green and Hull.
  4. Oddly Bologna finished in the top 4 in Serie A and qualified for the UCL with VK as their regular LB. Maybe says something about the poor overall quality of Serie A these days, though.
  5. This guy is Ward-level bad.
  6. Never confident about the result when most on here are happy with the line up!
  7. How did he end up staying so long when he started only 62 of those 166 appearances? Should have been moved on years ago for his own sake as well as ours. Has never been more than a back up player in all his time for us.
  8. Genuinely never heard of this guy until I saw his name mentioned on here yesterday. But over the last 2 seasons he has played 60 games in the Scottish Premiership, which you could argue is a similar level to where we are now, and he seems to be liked by their fans.
  9. The Met Office app says that the rain won't reach Scarborough until around 1pm and then it will be rain all the way, so looks like we'll only get play in the morning session.
  10. Can't see him getting a permanent transfer but surely he'll get an underwhelming loan move somewhere?
  11. Hopefully a new signing but if that doesn't happen then I would even rather play Thomas there. We need to rid ourselves of all these players who clearly aren't committed to the club - and it's clear that Souttar wants out. As captain at the weekend he simply headed down the tunnel until he was ordered to go back out and clap the fans. What kind of example is that? Moreover, all 3 of his performances this season have been horrific both defensively and on the ball, where his clunkiness scuppers at source any chance we have of playing Russball effectively.
  12. Indeed. But I love the day out and quality time with my two boys, so I decided, against my better judgement, to retain our season tickets for another season. Early signs are that was a bad decision and I should have thought of another activity that I could do with them.
  13. I think a Hants win would be best too. Hilarious that we are only a few points behind Surrey and have won more games than them!
  14. The old reverse psychology trick working a treat! Really chuffed with that win. Just hope the ECB don't dock us points for the pitch, given some of the chat about it.
  15. Glamorgan strong favourites now.
  16. Endured a 230 mile round trip for that disgrace yesterday. Hard to see where we go from this, apart from even further into the gutter. The team/squad is a total mess. In a transfer window when funds are unbelievably tight, some of our business has been totally inexplicable. Signing both Cullen and Chaplin is the equivalent of signing both Ayew and Reid. We didn't need to sign more than one number 10 when we also have the likes of Alves and Page who can play in that position. The alleged £2m on Cullen when we are utterly desperate for CBs and a striker is also totally baffling. Furthermore, we've signed a goalkeeper who is worse than the one we already have - Danny Ward levels of shot stopping combined with being a total bombshell on the ball. Also, why keep playing Thomas when we have loaned a left back from Man City? Have we again managed the near impossible and found another LB who is actually worse than him? Pretty much the only positive thing about the whole club is the new away kit, which really is top notch. I've stupidly purchased tickets for MK Dons away next weekend. Already dreading even the thought of that.
  17. Quite enjoyed the game. Old school blood and thunder stuff.
  18. "Biggest club in the league" behind.
  19. McCarthy, Thomas, Cullen and Reid were all honking last week. But fear that RM won't be prepared to drop them after one game.
  20. Absolutely chuffed. Top performance. Have some really exciting young players in the team now - Rehan, Shaikh and Alex Green.
  21. This is a crucial partnership.
  22. One of the commentators keeps saying "beaten away" about every shot, even little pushes or prods! Makes Richard Rae seem like John Arlott!
