  1. I thought that as well
  2. Hopefully you were late, missed the whole thing and saved yourself a load of grief
  3. At least Neilson had a long hair/throw going on
  4. If he did it’s pretty alarming, and suggests he really doesn’t know what he’s doing or used it as an experiment and now can warrant going back to being more negative. I just cannot understand how a defence can be that shit. I like Faes and Okoli as a CB partnership, but we have serious problems at full back. JJ is cooked, VK is poor and Thomas… honestly the only way forward I can see is a back 3, which suits Coady as well. Then you’re less reliant on on wingers or wing backs to defend - but luckily Abdul could do that well on one side (not sure about the other side).
  5. Might as well give him a go.
  6. On my three hour drive home I contemplated not renewing my season ticket next season if he is trajectory we’re on. I know we’ve just come up and this season is about stability, but can we kick on with this guy? The answer is a resounding no. I’ll let you decide if it was the long drive or Cooper that was the key factor, but to go from Enzo (high ceiling) to Cooper (low ceiling that’s caving in) is just so disappointing.
  7. He does speak well to be fair to him
  8. What will Coopers approach be then? Nuno likes to play on the counter, and so does this Forest team. Will our full backs be more disciplined? Will he play Ricardo? Will we play a midfield 3 of destroyers (Skipp annd Ndidi) and controllers (Winks), and Facundo out wide…? Or maybe it’s a game for Abdul from the start given his defensive qualities…
  9. There’s reminds me of the obvious news story piece if/when Cooper does get sacked. Cooper comes a cropper (with a photo of Roy Cropper ‘avin large in the crowd)
  10. I applied for the managers job as a joke, I think when Rob Kelly got it. I got a nice letter back saying no thanks, which I was surprised about because I had a dynamite track record with Leicester on various football manager games.
  11. Are you directing this at me specially or more generally?
  12. These two wins have been huge and I’m slowly coming around to the fact he might be able to galvanise us and I’m now reminding myself of how I reasoned he could he a good appointment. If he sorts the issue at right back then I could he well on the way. He seems to be learning about not being so negative in his selections, and also making good use of the bench and squad. It was pretty grim before the season started. We’d had a poor pre season and I wasn’t impressed with signings or the squad. However it is better than I thought at that point. I do think we still rely to much on Vardy (Edouard looks poor so far), but good to see others chipping in with goals as well. That and the right back issue are the biggest concerns for me, but as I say I’m slowing coming around. The players seem to be playing for him as well which is huge, or if they’re not they’re covering it reasonably well or taking some initiative.
  13. Good point - despite fewer minutes he’s actually made some vital contributions and assists
  14. I think he’s doing ok. He looks like a promising cross between Maddison and Tielemans. I’d like to see more of him, but I think this season it makes sense for him to be a squad player as opposed to first name on the team sheet.
  15. At half time I did say that the game was still alive because Southampton are under pressure and handling a 2 goal lead would be new to them at this level. And so it turned out with a few good tactical changes.
  16. Also playing games sort of helps if he thinks he needs to become ‘Premier League ready’ (which he doesn’t imo)
  17. The issue with first half is that we are so fragile down our right hand side. The two goals we conceded were almost identical. I think Facundo is a great player but he’s not the best defensively. He needs to get Abdul in as he’s a great defensive winger, and then fit Facundo in elsewhere.
  18. Fine margins…
  19. Nice to see him meaningfully contribute, albeit with a shinner but absolutely take it. In contrast a few mins earlier there was a lovely moment when fellow shitter BDCR totally fluffed it and the ball glanced his standing foot and meant he missed the ball when he swung his other foot at it. Fine margins of when scuffers work and do not work.
  20. I was going to go with Marko Futacs, but I see your logic
  21. He is an exciting talent, but there are also frustrating things about his game. Like he can glide past a few players and then take a heavy touch and lose it, or not release it when he has an easy pass on. Don’t get me wrong he’s got real potential, and he could well be the difference this season, but let’s keep him grounded shall we. But I do like that naivety - he’ll always have a go and and try. In summary, while he can be frustrating he’s also a match winner.
  22. I’m not sure how Cooper rationalised playing JJ. But fair play he got it right today, particularly with the changes. Winks bossed the game and Fatawu is dynamite. Nice to see Ayew contribute - although typically it was shinner!
  23. I see an email about the possibility of ID checks, although the wording is quite vague. Not seen that for a while…
  24. This is what concerns me - it’s huge for them a bit like we needed a win against Bournemouth. They have that going on but magnified. I’m concerned they’ll be on us like an rash and turn us over. If they are playing for Brussell, I think they could win. If they’re not arsed and know it’s a matter of time before there’s a change I think we stand a good chance. Coopers selection will be interesting today. Will he be negative and go with likes of Ayew from the start? I’m also concerned that Buanonnotte isn’t available.
