  1. All it takes is one win and all of a sudden everything looks quite different. Problem is, I just can't see us winning.
  2. Grated Red Leicester ↑ Stagg Chili (or homemade obvs.) ↑ Fvck loads of REAL butter ↑ Baked 'tato from the oven (don't microwave it, div)
  3. He loves the word "clear" Lots of things are clear for our Ruud. Pure clarity.
  4. Good that you've got Bourne doing the coverage. He'll be a sympathetic ear at the very least. I think he's struggled to hide his own frustrations at the state of the club recently.
  5. Ginnetta? Haven't heard that name since like 2014. Bizarre that he's still regarded by some – including members of the media – as a mouthpiece for the supporters. Cliff Ginnetta is president of the Cliff Ginnetta club, membership of one.
  6. So we've established that nothing is secure and we should probably all stay at home?
  7. Lock in the hotel safe, and if that's not an option, KEEP WITH YOU, unless you want to unethically blag a few more days off work. I learned this the hard way when my rental car was broken into in Spain when I stopped off for a break on the way to the airport. They stole everything, including my passport - which meant an extra 4 days holiday whilst I waited for the consulate to re-open and I could get an emergency one and get home. Top tip for an extended break: get robbed.
  8. Everyone knew it stunk. The club knew it stunk. Of course they did their due diligence, they just didn't care. fAmILy ClUb™ LCFC at it again.
  9. Before this IMO. Probably since around January or February 2021. We were garbage for a good three or four months before the FA Cup win. The run in to that final season of finishing 5th was honking and and since the FA Cup (which papered over the cracks) we've been exponentially fvcking shit. Basically when we failed to properly strengthen that January, the league season fell off again, Rodgers got word there was no money left and it all fell apart.

    Whisky

Picked up a bottle of English single malt which I've yet to try along with probably about 4 others that've gone unopened. Bought two litres of Chivas Regal 12yr in the duty free the other day and I can drink it my (honestly) my preferred way - with Pepsi Max, and not feel bad pissing away a nice single malt.
  11. Change it up. Time to roll the dice. We're in the desperate times now and it's clear what we're doing isn't working. Start Woyo. Start Okoli. If he goes with the same back four that got pumped at Everton then serious questions have to be asked of the ability of the manager to assess the situation.

Richard "The Nose" Paterson has some pretty strong opinions on how to drink the stuff.
  13. Didn’t look like he was seizing IMO, was conscious and writhing around on the floor. Looked like a broken nose mind.
  14. Yep. My commute walking around Shepherd's Bush and White City is like playing shit Frogger.
  15. I guarantee one thing though, our weather doesn't help. 90% grey and miserable days and heavy traffic moving around grime around soaked streets definitely doesn't help the perception of a "nice" city. I love London in the summer and I hate it in the winter and this is a huge contributing factor. And yeah, agree with the takeaways thing. Wrappers everywhere. And chicken bones. Must be a nightmare to be a dog owner.
  16. Yes, but the outcome relies on a completely unrealistic cultural and socio-economic shift. There have been many attempts to clean areas of city, many campaigns to encourage a change in attitudes, there are probably more community clean-ups, volunteer, or support organizations than ever before. However the state of the streets is far down the list of priorities for already stretched authorities, and unfortunately for every one person that cares, there are ten that absolutely don't. And most populous European cities face the same issues: Paris is worse. Brussels, Rome, Athens, Berlin, Amsterdam all filthy. I reiterate: people are dirty and selfish and it's absolutely not a problem unique to London.
  17. This. I lived in the city for 15 years and whilst I commute in nowadays, I still work there. It's no more dirty than it was 15-20 years ago. It's a massive place and there are a lot of people there. People are dirty and selfish. It's a LOT less run down that it was in many areas mind, although this is arguably not a good thing as development and gentification equals rising cost of living.
  18. In fact, the area around DMU seems completely devoid of any pubs and bars at all now. Swan and Rushes, Bowling Green, The Charlotte, The Quay, that weird Glo bar that used to be there. All gone. Seems to be just Riley's sports bar and Soar Point left. The fvck are students doing nowadays? Studying?
  19. Really hoping it's temporary until a new lease is found. By all accounts Stonegate allowed the building to fall into disrepair and now they've just fvcked off. Shame man, had many a daft night in the Polar Bear. That place should be a license to print money given the proximity to DMU. Can't wait for it to reopen as a fvcking shit Costa or something equally bleak.
  20. Remarkable the thread is still here TBH. HVB posted it, logged out a few minutes later and hasn't been seen since. We might well see his third account soon.
  21. People have very, very short memories. Especially when it comes to politics. Most voters won't remember what Labour did in their first few months in office when we get to the next GE. This is why they've acted quickly to get the controversial policies out of the way.
  22. It's fvcking awful. And they have the gall to say "soccer" is boring. I have plenty of friends who are massively into it too. Go whenever it comes to the UK. Book the day off work for the Superbowl. I just don't get it.
  23. When did we start saying "cee-oh dot UK" instead of "co dot UK" when reading out .co.uk web addresses?
  24. Predictable. Predicable and fvcking shit.
