  1. You’ll be wearing a red baseball cap come Xmas ‘25 Mac !
  2. Jones can’t compute how a Muslim immigrant cannot vote democrat. so his race and religion is relevant to his point. The issue here is jones’ preconceptions and stereotyping.
  3. And as has been pointed out earlier in the thread, she wasn’t chosen as the candidate - she was basically forced upon the party when the crazy idea that Biden could serve a second term came tumbling down around them. the dems screwed this up big time
  4. Yeah but he said he’d MAGA so what does that bitty stuff matter ……. Let he who has never parked on a double yellow cast the first stone ………. they don’t see it as real - it’s just stuff that ‘the machine’ has made up to beat their guy Fwiw, I’m hoping that the rhetoric is mainly just that and that he sees opportunities to actually leave a global legacy over the next few years and grasps them rather than the low hanging fruit. my biggest concern is that he doesn’t make it past year 2 and that Vance takes over.
  5. Surely that is the most random tweet ever ? how do you ever think of stuff like that ???
  6. so wrong ? PA was 51/48 WI was 50/49 GA wa 51/49 NC was 51/48 MI is 50/48 its v close and all within expected tolerance all pundits said that it could just as easily be 271/269 and 310/230 The country is v divided
  7. It’s the result they would prefer but ‘pleased’ is probably a bit of a stretch. They will now be forced to come to a settlement and it won’t be for what they would want. Zelensky knows that a deal has to be done - he is just trying to force the middle ground as far in Ukraine’s direction as he can. trump says a lot to get elected he did it in 2016 he didn’t deliver on all the stuff he said he would no one ever does buckle up because it’s likely to be quite a ride. The general news thread is probably going to be rather active …….. harris simply didn’t manage to get enough of her vote out in the swing states. Looks like she couldn’t convince some of the waverers that she was a safe pair of hands.
  8. the Everton comment is true - that game was proper basketball and 3-1 would have been a good lead but newcastle ? They shagged us for 90mins and we managed a shot in added time when they decided they would try and protect the point they needed. The fact that we kept a clean sheet that night was pretty much the most astonishing thing about the season!
  9. It means that the bets placed are more on trump than Harris Within that context (of trump favoured by the bookies), over the course of the day it’s drifted ever so slightly towards Harris and then back to trump so that we end the day with trump slightly more favoured than Harris compared to how the day started. if you believe the money then trump is more likely to win.
  10. Plenty of 6/4 available on Harris Very little 4/6 available on trump
  11. All relevant points I'm wondering about this 10 week period ahead of an inauguration - who is in charge in the whitehouse ? It’s known as the ‘lame duck period’. There have been reports that trump has told BN to have ceasefires in Gaza and Lebanon in place by the time he is president. And to have dealt with Iran. If trump wins will Netenyahu just do as he pleases over the next 11 weeks with no US govt influence to be a little more circumspect ? if Harris wins then Netenyahu will feel cornered because the heat is coming onto him if he has to deal with a Harris administration.
  12. Just news nothing else BN fires gallant (defence sec) gallant has always wanted to go on a less extreme, path than BN - he’s also a potential challenger for PM. Strong lack of trust is this in expectation of a trump win or because a Harris presidency will lean on BN harder than Biden?
  13. Odds in the U.K. are ever so slightly converging. Hardly discernible but some of the 6/4 on Harris has now gone and on trump there is more 4/6 available
  14. He won’t nuke them he’ll just bomb the f### out of their program which is mainly underground B52’s have already been sent to the region on the basis that the Iranian air defence systems were pretty much neutralised a week or so back (not convinced that Biden wouldn’t be too bothered about doing the same if Iran goes over the top on their next salvo ) question - if trump wins, does the current administration continue with their existing policy until he’s sworn in ? I mean who is calling the shots over the next few months if the republicans win?
  15. but he’s not said ‘it’s a disgrace’ that would be reserved for a Harris win (which is 6/4 with betvictor)
  16. Does he have an opinion on imported cheese ?
  17. PTSD for us from the spurs game
  18. The ride would be fun but the future of our club is too much of a risk to take with him - need a change but not Jose
  19. really close judging by the last polls of the campaign could be 270 for the winner but because of the margin of error, could be 310 ! I posted a few days ago that I fancied Harris could well come through the chaos and I haven’t changed my mind
  20. I doubt he’ll be going to take up the same role at forest that he had at arsenal likely be to head the whole group of clubs and take on a more ‘corporate role’ marinakis may be expecting something different though !
  21. Who is playing us next ….
  22. Before race : how many points will Norris take out of max’s championship lead ? after race - how much further ahead is max now ?
  23. I’ve seen way more salty tweets from them since yesterday than any other fanbase (except arsenal who are the saltiest fans on the planet )
  24. I didn’t use it as justification- I said it was the best argument
