  1. Not much like watching paint dry
  2. Pray for okoli ……. JJ is used to this kind of crap
  3. His remit is the league the board won’t care if we get hammered - as long as we don’t lose on Saturday
  4. We have way larger fish to fry we must not lose on Saturday we cannot risk injuries to important players tonight yes it sucks to get hammered and fans have travelled but we have to do whatever is necessary to give us the best chance of staying up
  5. Back to his narcissism- he will want a legacy. If someone gets into his head that he could be remembered as the man who brought peace to the Middle East and more importantly ‘saved the planet’ then you might find his approach to certain things isn’t what you’d expect. remember that he doesn’t need to be elected again - so we’ll see a possible change in his attempts to appeal to certain demographics. having said all this, I have a nagging feeling that Harris will unexpectedly come through - which in light of the republicans effectively claiming victory could turn very nasty.
  6. the reports that sporting had declared to the stock market that they were in negs with Man U over compensation were rogue then ??
  7. Surely ward starts a) because his heroics got us here b) to stop him wanting to leave ……
  8. I’d actually be more concerned that trump doesn’t make it past year two and then Vance has a chance to actually appear competent as president in the eyes of the right which then leads him into re election probability
  9. I don’t believe that they will be able to get behind a single person - they will disintegrate somewhat. As an example, trump has been pushing the Israel card for some time. a few nights ago there were concerned Muslims in Michigan feting him as their man whilst at the weekend you had out and out facists clapping along with support of the Jewish state when many of those people are primarily Jew haters. trump has somehow managed to square those circles (and many others which seems impossible ) - I very much doubt that anyone else will appear in four years who can do the same.
  10. He’s a narcissist if presidents were only allowed one term then he’d be nowhere near this election. He’s not be bothered about endorsements. I cannot see any way that he’ll be able/allowed to change the constitution to run again and I believe that means he won’t really care who wins in 2028
  11. Sounds like a good reason not to vote for her 😂 violent insurrections should be avoided four years of trump will fly by ! in all seriousness, if he is going to win then the glass half full view is that he can’t run again and in four years time the dems may have a good candidate able to serve two terms. I’m simply unconvinced by Harris. She may be ok once elected but she seems pretty meh and not sure she’d do well on the international stage where you need to be able to strut your stuff these days.
  12. Probs not an issue for us then …..
  13. Won’t be anyone new for Wednesday RVN in charge (and auditioning )
  14. Likely that RVN will play a strong side
  15. Palace looked way better with Mateta lone striker and Wharton in the team
  16. At least the on field ref gave it var not supposed to get involved unless it’s a howler on field unless Michael Oliver is involved
  17. Especially because it’s Oliver on var Ridiculous call
  18. That’s not a howler
  19. fair point and Moore has had European games to prove himself we haven’t used league cup fixtures to give alves a proper runout. but it’s been well known in football that Moore was potentially a generational talent. Alves hasn’t seemed to come back from his ACL with the same levels that he was showing. Could be that in two or three years that things have changed around but for now, that’s where we are. Haven’t seen much to show that any other of our 17/19 y o should be pushing for a game day squad place.
  20. He’s exceptional none of ours are at his level
  21. The early goal in the second period certainly knocked the stuffing out of them but we’d gone behind in the first half and kept going. the period between goals 2 and 3 wasn’t recognisable from the first half when we were behind. in the first half, nuno pushed four up to press our defence in possession - wood, the two wingers and one of the midfielders. That made it tricky to find winks or Ricky because the passing lanes were quite blocked. But we generally managed to work it out. Can’t recall many passes into the midfield in the second half - not only did they continue to press 4 across but they also pushed another midfielder into the space that Ricky and winks occupied. that should have led us to work out where the spaces had then been left and to utilise them. The point is that our coaching team didn’t appear to manage that.
  22. Both teams weakened by England players unable to play them more than us we were comfortable and then made a right mess of the last fifteen mins and almost blew it
  23. Their squad looks too strong for them to go down - mind you ……………
  24. And they conceded twice in the second half to lose 2-1
