Regarding page I’d like to believe that Rowett with his experience saw an environment wasn’t conducive to a player of page’s age and decided to shield him from it. I mean we have no idea how the kid was coping mentally. For burnham to be elected leader of the party (and therefore pm) he needs a seat. To stand for a seat his nomination has to be approved by the labour NEC. There are people on that nec who want the top job (or are v close to those who do). I don’t see him getting a seat because I don’t see his nomination being approved until the next GE.

If they’re not sold could easily be in a situation where we have to sell half a dozen young players to finance the salaries of BDCR, hamza, Thomas, skipp etc. those players that we can’t sell because no one will take on their wages.

The happy clappers don’t understand they don’t really want to understand it’s not an issue if your team tries for 46 games and isn’t good enough to avoid the drop. But other sides have shown that a huge amount of determination and effort can bring unexpected consequences. this group of pros are a disgrace to their profession. The fact that they don’t have enough about them to be fit enough to run around is incredible. that dressing room is likely the worst we’ve had in the last sixty years for that reason alone. Managers come here and are simply unable to get past that dressing room. those players don’t deserve any applause whatsoever.

He’s an experienced coach the only reason he brings the kids into this is because he’s told to from above because we need to expose them to try and drive sales. Top doesn’t. so he had to surround himself with extremely capable people. Whelan was someone who was capable but she had no involvement in the footballing side and when the footballing side failed to meet its part of the the financial equations set, she was effectively told to make the best of it. we are where we are because Rudkin was way out of his depth and top didn’t trust anyone else to be involved at such a high level on the football side.

I mean that’s just business players see out their deals and effectively get a big wage if they renew we got a £7m for him when he left so it was probably pretty neutral. the issue with wilf was not getting him to sign a new deal earlier and therefore not needing to increase his wage to cover what was effectively a signing on fee
