His book value is set each year at June 30th in the accounts it doesn’t drop through the year because we dont effectively file again until end June. End last June he had approx £4m book value. june 30th 2026 he would have zero. whatever deal we’ve done will be to cover his wages and the amount they’re covering being more than he’ll earn there effectively is a loan fee for the six months. ayoze cancelled his contract in the January so we had nothing to pay him and he left for free. This will not be much different apart from we may have worked out some clever way of getting something onto the plus column in this years books. I can’t work out what but surely we could be creative in some way. The player would be due a nice s/o fee to move there in July. He’s not going to chuck that away for the sake of sticking around here for another six months. I’d love to believe that we’ve negotiated a fee of some kind but if we have then it’s just psr smoke and mirrors - handy though!

Any fee is going to be creative accounting. Can’t think of a work around where they pay us his o/s wages as a fee and we pay off nis contract. Presumably because his deal ends June 30, all monies out and in on him balance.

Here’s a thought why can’t we sell him in the same way that bc game sponsor us ? this assumes that king power actually have some money to give to the Qataris to pass onto us. Maybe if they sell the boat then we’re quids in!

If it was 350k then we’d keep him! it’s approx £1.2m for five months on his reduced 60k/ week

Yes obviously we did way more than China are able to get away with. but the idea that they are just ‘helping’ loads of countries around the world to develop is nonsense.
