  1. You're welcome to say 'I told you so' when we're 80-4.
  2. Disagree slightly- stick to the usual plan, hope the top 3 get us off to a flyer then let the middle order bat properly. Things seem to be able to change pretty quickly with the Kookaburra, so try and cash in whilst the going is good!
  3. Love this team's mentality. Gritted it out and dragged their scoring rate back in when things were going badly yesterday, now on top. Not for the first time this season either.
  4. Good job were playing 7 bowlers. Going to be a long shift today.
  5. The squad will be more than good enough for play-offs, even with a points deduction. Really looking forward to watching our academy lads come through. If we do stick with Ruud, I think he'll get on better this season- the situation will be similar to managing PSV in the Eredivisie in terms of comparative club sizes and expectations.
  6. Batting line up has been pretty fluid this season, wouldn't surprise me if they switched it around a bit. Thinking about it, I'd put Wright in for Kimber. Having 5 seamers has made us look so balanced, it's been our biggest advantage.
  7. If we can win this one, you'd say it's just about done and dusted. I've lost track a bit of who's going to be missing- Holland, Handscomb, Hull? Guessing we'll line up something like this: Patel Budinger Ahmed Hill Masood Kimber Cox Van Beek Green Mike Scriven The attack doesn't feel anywhere near as strong, but batting down to 11 again.
  8. Looks far more controlled with the bat all of a sudden too.
  9. Rehan has really kicked on this year... our best/most important player in this format now?
  10. 6 an over needed with 7 wickets in hand... the mental scars of following Leicestershire for the past 20 years visible in this thread
  11. Very doable chase. The result here could end up defining our t20 campaign, either way.
  12. Assuming that Bilal goes, he's probably the one who I'd have most faith in to perform consistently next season (a lot of question marks in the squad around injury and age). Should be doing everything we can to keep him unless we get a silly offer.
  13. I don't like being critical, but with the quality at our disposal, we need to be greater than the sum of our parts and Kimber's captaincy currently isn't enabling that.
  14. Bowl 10 overs of spin and hope for the best.
  15. Needed that over I think. Momentum back in our favour.
  16. Fair enough, I was resigned to Monga leaving. Genuinely might be the first bit of good news in 2025?
  17. What's our record t20 chase?
  18. Feels like that's a good toss to win.
  19. Whilst true, the decision to put pace on the ball again when we had just about completely killed the game off was baffling. Still, didn't cost us the result last night and if that's part of a learning curve for him then great.
  20. Got away with that. Kimber needs to have a bit of a think. Breaindead captaincy.
  21. I don't get why we didn't bowl a couple more overs of spin, they were going nowhere. This is much closer than it should be.
  22. Should have saved them.
