  1. I’ll get behind him and look forward to seeing how the team reacts and adapts. I’m hoping Fatawu and Mavadidi will be let loose to fly forward and attack more often rather than reigned in. We will be needing them a lot for goals.
  2. I’ve just checked on my LG and can hear AD when it’s turned on, AD off and it’s just the main commentary.
  3. Also add a progressive JJ who we know can bomb forward with pace and make a decent cross and shot. Hopefully he can finally be deprogrammed safely after Rodgers and Enzo.
  4. But when teams cottoned on and didn’t even attempt to press that doesn’t work. Faes and Vetstagaard walked to the halfway line and did the same just higher up and in more congested areas. We had plenty of chances to open up teams that played these tactics if the defence played the ball out quickly. Not long ball but a quick pass to wingers waving their arms unmarked in space. Instead they repeated the same pattern of play over and over getting the same result.
  5. Sorting a massive Christmas bonus out for his mates.
  6. He just knows when to get the ball in a dangerous area and that’s get it in quickly. He doesn’t overthink and then have to try and skin players as he took too long to think about doing something. You would hope our wingers would have had extra practice picking his brain on how to cross a ball.
  7. I want to see Kel do well then I watch him try and control a simple pass with his shin. If he holds onto the ball for more than 5 seconds you know he’s going to lose it. If he could use his right foot at all and could control the ball he wouldn’t have joined us. I still remember his rocket against Spurs.
  8. Face is a big thing in Thailand. Top lost face when the club was relegated. This is him showing off so people back home see. That’s also why he didn’t take responsibility in the programme notes last season. Making merit is very important. They like to show off even donating some food to a monk they’ll take lots of pictures.
  9. Only just checked the result. It was 2-0 just before I took off.
  10. Last year I was in Thailand at the same time crying into a beer watching us get battered by Fulham.
  11. Enzo cant be arrogant enough to have the cbs on the halfway line like at WBA against forwards that can finish. Mavadidi seems like he’s creating a step over's complication of late rather than just running into space with the ball. He goes to the player to then try and beat him. Soton should give us a lot of space which we hopefully try and counter rather than turning back and walking until they reset.
  12. I board a 12hr flight to Thailand at 8:45pm tonight. I’m confident we’ll have it wrapped up by half time.
  13. He leaves Ndidi on to stand around and not apply pressure in midfield.
  14. Ndidi’s brain buffering again when he gets the ball near the box.
  15. Mavadidi ran into space a few times but Faes ignores him and he sends it back putting everyone else under pressure. He plays like he’s sabotaging us but it’s more likely a case of Hanlon’s razor.
  16. The both scenarios can exist. He’s done what I have mentioned more times than crossed the ball.
  17. I can’t stand seeing him get the ball, slow it down and ignore Mavadidi to roll it back and put the defence under pressure.
  18. All from Faes being too high up the pitch and Vestagard in the halfway line. Insane tactics.
  19. Faes doing the same shit on the left. Refuses to pass forward unless he decides to go on a run and leaves the back open.
  20. So Faes will just run forward into space that KDH and Mavadidi should be occupying and stink out their attacks rather than Fatawu. Get running at them quickly and try and get some long shots in for once rather than trying to walk the ball into the net.
  21. Hopefully the fans start booing Vestagard and Faes when they initiate walking football and FC Backpass and cheer when a quick pass is made to Mavadidi and Fatawu.
  22. Stinks out our defence and is now stinking out our attacks.
  23. At the start of the season a lot of the team were falling over at any tackle expecting to win fouls like in the prem. they stopped it quickly but it has crept back in for a few players again. KDH is wasted when we play walking football as he has to control the ball while being marked, turning only one way. When Doyle gets the ball out quickly to him he can break away well and get Mavadidi into attacking areas.
  24. Kevin might not be the answer in this formation as Fatawu has to track back to cover an area which is usually left open by Faes. Albrighton going forward always looks to get the ball in dangerous areas quickly. Mavadidi and Fatawu slow it down to try and skin 4 players. While they both clearly have the finesse to curl it in the top corner, I feel they give themselves too long to pull the trigger on instinct and end up cutting the ball back, which usually ends up with Winks sending it backwards.
  25. The only explanation is that Enzo has conditioned the team using clockwork orange style programming and they feel sick at any thought of a quick pass forward. Nothing logical makes sense with our style of play across the season.
