We could do with Gallagher, Chilwell and Lukaku now. Maybe they could offset the costs for a couple of years when they take Fatawu, Mads and Alves.

Jogged around a lot and got in Wink’s way too often. He showed his usual ability, one or two cross field passes but the rest I wouldn’t even describe as milquetoast.

Mavadidi will be carrying the team and making a lot of things happen. It would be good to see VK and Mav play together for the rest of the season, the same with Ricardo and Fatawu. JJ barely passes the ball forward on either side and we can’t out our hopes on Vestagaard and Winks passing through the middle and expecting Soumare, Hamza or Ndidi to do anything or quality. Alves and Golding are young but they seemed to want to progress up the pitch and make something happen when they got the ball.

There are no more excuses for Daka and Soumare, we have seen what they can do and it’s very little. They were brought in as experienced players, they don’t need two seasons and another pre season to finally come good and learn how to shoot on target or realise they have to do more than plod around the midfield.

Winks/CBs need a midfielder who can turn with the ball and make something happen. Ndidi isn’t skilful or creative and can only do the slot in pass for Fatawu otherwise he folds. Hamza and Soumare are a liability in midfield and will make Winks’ job even harder.

Just move it onto different plates and it might stop tasting like shit. 😂 nope still shit.

Daka is still rubbish. Justin still passes back at every chance, Hamza is still as sharp, Soumare is still as creative and useful. Mavadidi and Winks looks like the only ones trying and have the ability to make things happen. Fatawu started to attack with confidence in the second half.

Same players that haven’t improved and make the same mistakes consistently over past two years.

Winks, Mavadidi and Fatawu are going to be carrying this team.

We need more young hungry players like him.

I’ve noticed that, he keeps running towards him to try and look busy by getting involved for a short pass but blocks his passing lanes. Just plodding about as usual offering nothing.

He’s shown a lot of promise at the end of an attack but when involved in the build up his tends to stink it out more often. The stand out in the game on Tuesday was when Ricardo played a 1-2 and bombed into space with no one in front, his instinct was to stop the ball, turn inwards to the crowded midfield then turn back and pass it Ricardo. When he runs with the ball his head is down and runs into trouble. If he extends his contract then he needs to go on loan. We won’t get as many clear chances this season, I don’t think we can waste it hoping he comes good.

I think it didn’t help that a lot of the balls he was playing out of the back were to Soumare. He would either lose it or just send it back putting him back under pressure. He needs a leader next to him with a steady head. Hopefully Nelson can get a lot of game time with us. The right side with him, Ricardo and Fatawu should be exciting and solid.

He hasn’t got great footballing instinct when involved in the build up. Holds on to the ball too often and makes poor choices. He’s much better in front of goal on the receiving end of the final ball.

Then next season backtrack and offer £10m for him, Italian style.

Alves and Golding look good, something to be excited about. Soumare looking exactly the same as before he left. Bumbles around doing the bare minimum and tracks back like my nan with her stroller.

Kasey still can’t make his mind up what to do with the ball when he gets it.

He would work well in the free flowing attacking football that Shrewsbury play.

He did all that despite JJ behind him who barely passed the ball forward when he was in space or attempted to overlap. I think Stepfy and VK should work well together.

The same for Walker. He is killing any momentum, he can’t decide what to do .

Trippier and Walker are the bottlenecks as they won’t pass forward quickly

They are both fast and tricky wingers who would benefit from the ball played into space quickly to run at the defence. They don’t need to be receiving the ball on the halfway line with backs to goal with no overlapping runner. Hopefully we will see this with Ricardo, JJ or VK. When JJ came on against Norwich on the wing and the shackles appeared to be off, he looked like a different player.
