Development/Youth Squads 2024/2025 Thread - U18/U21
ALC Fox replied to davieG's topic in Leicester City Forum
Another upside of these loans is that the gaps will be filled by players from younger age groups, initially on the bench, but they should get chances. It can only bode well for young players to get exposure at a higher level. Should bring their development on as well, in theory. -
League One will be a great level for a 19-year-old who's looking better than U21s football. It'll be a test coming up against those defenders, some of which will have been scrapping in the non-league not so long ago. He's got the raw materials to be a really good player and seems to be making the step up each time he's asked. Let's hope he continues that way. If his instinctive finish against Burton last week is anything to go by, hopefully Exeter City fans will have plenty of reasons to cheer him this season.

Marc Albrighton Retires From Football

A proper club legend. A huge, integral part of our greatest ever era. Get the statue up. -
Maybe not

Yes, very disappointed

If Forest bring this guy in, I'd test them with a bid for Awoniyi.

Sounds like the sort of thing nobody wants to see. Hope the person in question made it and is stable. Hope you're okay too.

He'll be fuming if Bob makes Tier 1 before him!

Lots of good chat about this lad. Looking forward to seeing him come in and seeing what he can do.

I presume this is just to 'see how they get on' and have a bit of time all playing at the same time. I imagine we'll see a lot of it this season.
-
Despite his brain fart in the first game, if it is the keeper then surely he'd be an upgrade on Ward. I just hope this doesn't mean Mads or Jakub will go, though. Both are good enough in my opinion and hope that Stolarczyk can come straight back in as the second-choice when he's recovered from his injury. Hopefully this rumour is just a crap journo throwing loads of stories about for clicks and Patreon subscriptions.

Is anyone actually interested in him?
-
If he doesn't want to be here then fine. He's been decent for us but he's not the difference between survival and not for me. I'd be happy with a Coady-Okoli back two to be honest. Nelson to replace either of those as well. Thanks for last season, Wout.

If we can flip him for £80m in 18 months I think that means we've done pretty well on all fronts!

I know it's been said approximately 1,000,000 times in this thread but my god middle lane hoggers just make the road so dangerous. There's empty road ahead in the inside lane, but they consistently tootle along at 60 in the middle on three-lane stretches or lanes two and three on four-lane stretches, forcing me to go across several lanes of traffic if I want to overtake. I don't understand the mentality. If you're that opposed to changing lanes to overtake and come back in again and you want a nice easy cruise and to switch off, you shouldn't be on the ****ing motorway.

Jordan Ayew - NEVER PLAYING FOR LEICESTER AGAIN!!!
ALC Fox replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
"More like FoxesTwats" We just can't compete with that -
A loan with obligation dependent on survival seems the only way this could happen for us. If Forest aren't willing to spend on both him and Nketiah it could be doable. I'm not holding my breath, though.

In reference to the chat about Cannon, he's shown he can be a good finisher but that's about it. He doesn't do a great deal else and we can't really afford to carry a player like that, especially one who - despite being a talented goalscorer - isn't particularly prolific. Ayew, to be fair to him, isn't prolific at all but he's a facilitator. It's his hard work that has allowed others to shine, namely Zaha, Olise and Eze. Yes he's 33 and not a particularly inspiring signing but could be a decent signing for the squad and free up Buonanotte, Fatawu, Mavididi and Vardy to do their thing. I'm not thrilled by the fee but if he can help the team and give us that bit of guile, resilience and experience then it could be an inspired signing.

I like Nketiah. Could be a good signing for them and would give them good depth in that area of the pitch. If he starts scoring his value will rocket as well. I wonder if we could p!ss off the trees by making a bid for Awoniyi

Barnsley until Jan and Sheff Weds until the end of the season would be ideal. -
Just outrageous, both of them.
