The Preston fans were a bit odd. The obligatory 'your support is ****ing sh1t' chant yet a bunch online complaining about us celebrating against them too much and not liking the olés. As an aside, I'd quite like to see them sustain a promotion push. I like seeing different teams in the Prem, it helps keep the idea that it's attainable for most clubs alive - if they can get their ducks in a row, of course. I get the moaning from opposition fans about our multi-million pound players, though. It must seem very unfair. But we're in a bit of a unique position. We shouldn't have been relegated. A lot of the players were definitely too good. But we saw what happens when a team is less than the sum of its parts, all because the manager and board were playing a game of chicken with each other for most of the season. It was plain as day that Rodgers had checked out, and the board didn't want to give up the compensation until it was all too late. We sold players, freed up wages and that's allowed us to attract a top coach to a rebuilding job and spend on some really good, technical players and some up-and-coming exciting players who are desperate for a chance, and keep some of the PL quality boys we already had. It may not seem fair, and promotion is no guarantee, but in the right environment, it should happen with the resources, coaches and players at our disposal. But seriously, let us enjoy it. Last season was an utter horror show. The fact that it should have been completely avoidable made it so much worse. Winning every week should never be taken for granted, so don't be surprised if we lap up every single moment while it's happening.

Just look at Brighton as well. Remember how bad they were - and how bad their fans had it - when they played at the Withdean. Absolute night and day. If clubs like them and Brentford can do it, so can the likes of Preston.

Could easily be the case. Should just listen to the multiple renditions of his chant per game even before scoring. I think it's easy to be overly critical of KDH because he's quite one-footed and plays in the middle of the park but he's capable of some really brilliant football. And the way he and Ndidi switch sides is very interesting. I like him. I think he could be on the cusp of a quite dominant spell.

I'm sure their most enthusiastic chant of the night didn't actually have any words. It was f***ing weird.

That's a shout. We may have to compete with Villa who hold a long-term interest but he could be amenable to a loan if he hasn't given up on breaking back into Arsenal's side.

I didn't have this issue on my old Samsung Galaxy S9 when using Chrome. Switched to a Google Pixel 6a in the summer and have recently started experiencing this. Doesn't matter what the page is but when using Chrome it freezes and I get the pop-up to either wait or close the app. Happens most times I access the forum and not on any other sites. Haven't tried an alternative browser yet.

A chance for him to show Maresca what he's got in training and show he's got the application to be a part of the first-team setup. All on his shoulders now. He'll be backup to Akgun, Mavididi and Fatawu for sure, but if Akgun is needed as one of the #8s, he'll get his moment again. It's a squad game after all.

Shame for McAteer but I think we can cope with Mavididi, Fatawu and Akgun. Plus Marçal-Madivadua may have an opportunity to come back into the squad. Hopefully we can give Kasey a chance to take his time and come back in peak condition. Great result against a side that could've picked us off today. The quality shone through, especially for Vardy and KDH's goals.

I thought Hamza's time here was over under Rodgers. One swallow doesn't make a summer but he was impressive against Norwich. If Enzo can reinvent his game and he can become a good squad player for us, even in the Premier League, this four-year deal will turn him into a good asset for us both on the pitch and financially. He won't be required to be a Ricardo or a Winks, he'll be a different kind of midfielder/full-back, but he could really help us this season and possibly tempt a club to come in for him next summer.
