That's a lot of Vietnamese workers required just in this city. Then there's the sex and modern slavery trade and the false promise from those smuggling workers in that its for 'good jobs and modelling contracts' and you end up with lots of Vietnamese wanting to come to the UK for a better life.

I tries SIS when I used to do road racing cycling, never agreed with me! Didn't get the shits but it was instant stomach ache. Strange how things affect people differently. As for the 5K, at 38 I think any hope of a sub 20 or even a sub-23 might be beyond me, but like you I'm hoping to improve on distance long term, got plenty of 10k and a couple of Half Marathons on my list for the next 18 months. Really just enjoying my running at the moment, feel like it's the fittest I've been since I gave up football 15 odd years ago.

I've been using the bog standard Applied Nutrition endurance gels the last couple of weeks on long runs with no I'll effects and I've never really used gels for running before. Think everybody is different though, so trial and error.

I don't like to judge but if you were asked to pick 6 people who were lifelong ardent (Leicester) or football fans and plonk them in a room then this 6 really wouldn't be what I'd imagine Whether that's good or bad, who knows.

Agreed It is far too easy to follow the "this guy was shooting people up a couple of days before, so he got what he deserved" routine. Sure, he was gang member and had convictions for violent crime, but this wasn't and isn't a case about whether he deserved to die or not, which is basically what people are saying when they suggest 'ah, he's a gang member, tough luck' The case will have been based around protocol and compliance - did the officer correctly assess the Situation? The levels of threat to fellow officers? Did he go off-piste and ignore orders? Was it clear whether the victim was unarmed or not? Were the correct warnings given to the victim? What were the levels of certainty in the decision making around discharging the weapon etc. The CPS obviously thought something hadn't been done correctly, hence the case. The facts and evidence have been put before and tested by the Court and the Court has made it's decision. Should be end of story really.
