  1. Think he meant the sheff utd goal.
  2. Only saw some of the 1st half but what I saw Chelsea were much the better team, Pulisic looked very good, Kante back in, that Emerson looks dangerous. Looks like they might be vulnerable at the back though so definitely can't see another 0-0 on Sunday.
  3. 20+ goals 2 seasons in a row for 2 different teams at his age is no mean feat. He hasn't until now been given a chance at prem level and people are writing him off already.
  4. No, nor a sexist, just hate the term, defending deep is the basic translation, not sure why or how this shit term got coined that's all.
  5. Just thought I'd share this, we'll worth a watch. Goals from yesteryear in the prem and recently. Every prem team has a similar vid on the Premier league YouTube channel.
  6. Cheers Bruno's agent.
  7. For a European final, there's no way they play a second string.
  8. As good a side as Wolves are it was essentially 8 defenders with 2 left up top. A lot of sides will try and nullify us. Problem is getting that 1st goal. If we score early in home games it ruins the opponents plans, the longer its 0-0 or like under Puel the other team scores first then the game becomes increasingly difficult.
  9. Who coined this term low block? It's fvcking shit.
  10. True, when we play shite from the bottom half it will 9 or 10 man packed defence.
  11. I see your point, but mine is how often does this hypothetical granny get polaxed by the over exuberant celebrations?? I can sadly only forsee problems if this comes in. A large part of the lad culture and yobbo mentality has gone from football, its family orientated. This seems like a step backwards. If it was a perfect world and each ground had their chanting section with rail seating and it all went great then I'd be right behind it. But we all deep down should know it will just be a section full of the same type of ***** who shove their way to the front and crush people at a gig, throwing their beer in the air and jumping up and down. Mind you if it was an old fashioned 'pen' which kept these excitable types all in one place away from everyone else it might be a good thing. Or maybe sections at grounds will just continue to be unofficial standing zones without this rail shit.
  12. Ah I really seem to have ****ed off some impassioned folk on here ain't I. Well basically my tiny little mind cannot grasp why standing at games as people do now is dangerous compared to having 'rail seating' I've stood at countless away games and celebrated madly, Huth at spurs, Riyads goal at Watford etc etc everyone was standing on those occasions all game, everyone went berserk and no one died. If some thick yobbo wants to jump 3 rows In front that's not a reason to have a standing area. Grounds have their own standing areas already, and they are safe, so why change? But hey I'm in the vast minority it seems so by all means crucify me.
  13. Terracing safe standing potato potatoe it's still geezers standing at football matches. Don't go all high and mighty like you need a degree to know the topic is.
  14. What culture though? People already have created standing areas at all grounds pretty much anyway. Like at ours it's the L1 idiots and the union FS corner, at old Trafford it's the two ends etc etc just because occasionally some twats over celebrate a goal and fall over doesn't mean we should bring back terracing
  15. I just don't get this myself. How can standing affect atmosphere. I've stood on away ends that have been deathly silent. People create standing areas now in seated grounds. You rarely hear of crushes or big incidents, so why ripseats out so a load of morons can jump around waving scarves. I for one am glad my now 12 year old has been able to see the match each week and not the back of someone standing in front of him (like away games)
  16. My take on today: Very worrying. Had 70 per cent possession and no efforts on goal. Didn't move the ball fast enough, not enough movement up front. Maddison is a number 10 not a winger, he kept coming inside, so when either full back came forward there was no winger or runner in behind. Not convinced about playing two defensive Mids at home either. Wilf and Soyuncu were great, Chilwell was fooking useless.
  17. That the fat taxi driver from eastenders?
  18. Literally evert where is reporting £18m mate where you been looking teletext?
  19. Fvck me hope the Sampdoria coach doesn't hang himself
  20. At home with big mommy
  21. No seriously... All I can fathom is some nutters are convinced Coutinho is swapping Barca for stoneygate because Brenda used to manage him briefly.
  22. For someone who has missed this strange thread can someone sum up?
  23. ??? I know that guy well. He's got a less hair than Ake.
  24. Maybe, maybe Brighton just wanted a new CB. Doubt they woulf buy a guy for 20 million just incase Dunk goes. We have had all summer knowing Maguire is likely to go, and so have had time to eye up better replacements than dunk. I think you can get better players abroad for cheaper, or if we stay in the prem for a replacement then Lascelles or Ake are better options.
  25. Are you literally saying Lewis Dunk is the be and all and end all of centre backs in Europe? Can't believe some people. We have just accepted a World recored fee for a defender, I would like to think we could possibly sign 50 Centre backs better than Lewis flaming Dunk. Off the top of my head, Lascelles Ake Christensen Zouma Tah Rugani All better younger and probably around the same price
