I'm obviously more pissed off with the loss to Norwich Stating the obvious, but had we won that, we'd now be banging on about a fantastic set of first four games under Gary

It's a good point

Daka and/or Ayew bring nothing to the party, unfortunately. Genuinely no point having them on the pitch Stolarczyk Aluko Lascelles Nelson Thomas James Skipp Winks Fatawu Mukasa Monga -
He's obviously a really really nice guy. I wanted it to work for him, but we are where we are. Its done. He's the best we've got for the remainder of the season (a sad statement indeed!) He needs to 'sign off' with at least 6 or 7 goals - but it ain't gonna happen. Such a shame. Really wanted him to push on since that glorious night in Moscow

Hi Gary. I'm pretty sure you'll read this, and I know you're a busy man, so I'll keep it brief. Jordan Ayew. This guy should only ever be used in one specific scenario: - there are 10 or less minutes left - we are winning - he is needed to replace a player, on the right hand side, up top, or at centre forward, who's energy is looking sapped. All of the above must be in place before Ayew can enter the pitch. Then, there must also be the understanding that the rest of the team plays it to his feet. Not over the top, and not to run on to. His best ability is to receive the ball at his feet and draw the foul. Nothing more. Thanks.

Great technique for his volley towards the end of the Stoke game -

Play 4-3-3 and have him play the 'False 9'. Man City fan I know says this is the best way to use him. I think that would suit us TBH. Pack the Midfield and have a couple of our wide men either side of him. -

If we could just scramble a draw (as Oxford did), and Baggies get beat, that would take us out of the relegation zone, and give us a massive massive mental boost IMO Put's the mindset in a completely different space. Gives the players a different focus - Just need to better the results of the three below, week on week. Anyway, one can dream! long way to go...... Our biggest concern is our defense. So feeble. -

Stoke (A) 21/02/26: Pre-Match Thread

I think Winks will have had a one-to-one chat with Rowett, and probably told him that 'he'll give his all' until the end of the season. therefore that'd be good enough for Rowett, as he's only here for the same period. And that'll be that! I think Ayew is injured. I'm also hopeful that Gary and Kingy will have had a good chat about the full backs. Not sure how much value Gary puts on Thomas's long throw -

No chance -
Pretty sure we'll make the playoffs from here
-
No, I genuinely wouldn't. We are in a massive dogfight. I see Gary as a championship version of Sean Dyche (before anyone says it... no way we can attract Sean Dyche)
-
It's obviously all conjecture now, but we probably would have taken at least 4 points from the Charlton and Southampton games, if we'd have had a firefighter like him in charge, straight after Marti was sacked
-
I would've, yeah.

So assuming this is done, problem we now have (completely of the clubs own making) is that we have zero time left to re-learn the past mistakes of selection issues! Gary, Callum, to be clear: Luke Thomas, Jordan Ayew and for me Stolarczyk should not be starting games, under any circumstances (we have other better options in all their positions) Okoli and Ricardo are prone to multiple errors. Only start these two, if there are no available better options at the time. You should consider Aluko to start ahead of Riccy, from the off. - I'll leave that one up to you guys! Okoli needs to be benched as soon as Lascelles is available, maybe even try Gray, but a combo of Nelson and Gray might lack the experience you require. Please take this advice as gospel, and don't try to deviate. We haven't the time! Kind regards

yeah, c'mon, someone must be able to swing by and have a look!

Reading between the lines, I'm guessing it is done and it's just the announcement to happen. Hopefully, him and Callum Davidson are on the training pitches, right now, taking their first session. I fully expect photos from the club, this evening, with everything confirmed! ffs, please be the case!!!!!!!!!!!!!
