I went to Rutland House mate, they are very quick and set initial zoom calls up very quickly too. Cost about £35 a session but well worth it tbh.

My girlfriend and I were due to move out of our flat and rent our friends house on a no contract basis in November. This has since fallen through, as a new rule came in last week saying, my friend has to give the current tenant 6 months notice to leave, instead of what was 3 months!?

Pilgrims choice is the goat.

If I could give you any piece of advice is just start, use this new job to save up say 6 months of 'expenses' then quit and follow your photography and screenwriting dream. If it doesn't work at least you know you've tried.

Always hear people saying 'ahh I could've played semi pro- but hurt my knee' just winds me up.
-
People who say 'ahh i was going to do that but ... blah..blah' but you didn't do it, did you.

What do/did you want to do when you start(ed) work....

Yes, but using your analogy, the more poker games you play, the higher the odds of you winning. I think what I was trying to say is a lot of people say they want something, very few actually go out and try and get it. -

Yes, however if you don't try you'll never know. I honestly believe, within reason, anyone can achieve anything they want, should they want it badly enough. I'm on about the people that almost obsessively persue things, it's amazing what you can achieve when you look back. Fcuk other peoples opinions and just go for it. -
Brooklyn 99 is the GOAT of US comedies for me, brilliant viewing.

So true. Glad you're looking to change direction, after all, we only regret the things we don't do. -

Graduated from uni in Civil Engineering, worked as a site engineer for numerous firms, now find myself as a project engineer for a local authority. Has its perks and don't hate it. Life is just one big adventure and have to take the opportunities when they present themselves. -
Anyone watched how to get away with murder? Started decent, now watching it for the sake of it just to see the finale.

Not sure mate, my missus is from there so I just tag along. We don't really venture into the city that much when we go over as we stay with her parents etc.

Do you have a passion that you could monetise? Literally anything can be done online to create income. Easier said than done i Know

It's because the ground is far out, after the game we'd usually walk back towards town. Stopping at Bricklayers was a nice half way.

Exactly, even going to sit in my parents garden, my mum is very wary of it. In a sense its good to be wary, but I worry she will have this level of fear for months to come.

Shame, used to be a good laugh pre/post match.

Heading to Belfast next weekend to see the gf's family. Had flights booked with Ryanair who have now decided to change the date of the return flight and give us either two options... accept it or refund

I've seen my parents only a handful of times in the past 5 months. The majority were through a window as my mum is of the 'extremely vulnerable' category. The problem I now see, is that it has become ingrained into her that, should she go back to going to shops, seeing us etc she will die. I know she won't be the only one too afraid to venture out either. Its so sad, i'm now of the opinion that more harm is being done from this lockdown than good.

I used to feel the same. But something which has helped me is changing who I was 'relying' on. Try and be the organiser, and if people don't want to do stuff then that's on them. Find something which interests you and throw yourself into it, I've recently started a podcast, i'm only 5 episodes in but I've already reconnected with old friends through it!

Same, everywhere is booked up.

I think it will. If you go to Queenstown for example, all their money is in tourism, the economy is crippled. It's such a fine line tbh.
