I think I watched a different game to everyone else, we conceded 2 very poor goals in the first half but we were also quite enterprising in patches. I said to my brother, at half-time, that if we were ever going to win a game from 2-0 down it was today.

0-0 for me would be West Brom Anglo-Italian Cup 93/94, I've borne witness to approximately 600 games and this was the worst. I suspect it was match fixing for both clubs to get out of a god forsaken competition. There was 1 goal attempt, by Phil Gee, in the entire game and it came straight towards me in SK3 pretty much knocking me unconscious and leading to medical complications that eventually lead to my tonsils having to be removed. The highlight was a first touch by Neil Lewis where he leapt to bring the ball down on a proverbial sixpence from above head height.

Why do sports' governing bodies insist on hosting major tournaments in USA? The T20 World Cup was played in front of sparse crowds other than the games in the Caribbean and England's game in the WXV1 last night was played in a huge stadium with about 1,000 spectators. It doesn't raise awareness, they're not interested in any team sports other than the ones they monopolise.

Would the EFL be able to? All but 3 weeks of the period covered we were an EPL club and, even with our questionable approach to player contract negotiations, I doubt our June wage bill last year was £83m.

Not for me, a good manager at the top end of any league but I think we'd really struggle with his style and our squad in this league, I'd be delighted to be proved wrong though.

I don't recall anyone saying don't sign Coady, Vesty will be virtually ever present this season.

To say we had Nelson, Vesty and Souttar at the time he signed over looks the fact that Nelson wasn't ready (and still isn't), Souttar wasn't that convincing and, at that time, Vesty was the holder of worst signing ever title.
