Thinking about the starting 11 for Monday and trying to be positive in the wake of the Lens debacle. We should have 7 experienced PL players and 4 really talented youngsters. I know I'm clutching at straws but ever the optimist.
-
Definitely, could go top with a win on Monday.

No, Mark McGhee, eve of the 1995 season opener at Sunderland, he and Mark Robins scored with former Fox Steve Agnew getting the Sunderland goal in a 2-1 win for us. I'm such a sad bastard, I didn't even need Google.

I'm no great fan of his but nicknames a 5 year old would think up are a bit ordinary. -

Pooper? Come on, that's embarrassing. -
The belief that any player can be sold unilaterally is still alive and well then! Nobody wants them!

Don't clubs categorise at the start of the season? If so they can tally up the total pretty easily and Leeds will be cat A at every club in the Championship.

Hypothetical New Ownership- Who Would You Like?

There would seem to be a semantic argument. I would say that the way our model was set up was to buy young players to then sell on at a profit to, along with tv and matchday money, fund the wage bill. Clearly, for that to work, we needed to pay big wages to secure contracts long enough to not end up with a Tielemans situation. Unfortunately our success identifying talented players dried up, that's not on Top though. The PSR problems are a matter of losses made and they've only come out of one person's pocket. -

Because the loans that were converted into equity are a direct result of investment into the squad. -

Picked the number out of thin air but you're right, it would be significantly more. -

If the club is valued at say £200m that's about £8k per season ticket holder. Some could afford significantly more, most much less. -

Thanks Mr Brent -
I'm embracing the shithousery, I want an attacking threat not a drinking partner.

I think that ship has sailed!

On a brighter note, the support we took abroad for a preseason friendly was incredible and their fans were great around the town. Everything from 1/2 hour before kick-off to the final whistle was an unmitigated disaster, access to the stadium, over sold away end and hideous performance. I saw 1 bloke sat outside the entrance to the ground who was streaming the game on foxeshub because the view was so bad! 😂

Both matter don't they? As with anything in life we want positive memories and hope for the future. Right now we have the former but not the latter.
-
Really? Winning major trophies is irrelevant? What on earth are we following football for then?
-
7 days to build a squad then

Because, on the strength of the last 3 performances, we might not score all season and we're all over the place at the back.

We came through around midnight (eventually), the coaches were on the same ferry as us. The match was awful but it's been a fantastic 24 hours, Lens fans were fantastic.
