Just about to head out in the torrential rain, everything in my body is telling me not to. So for that reason I'm fcukin going. -
Big red flag on the lack of young players Rohl has opted for in his time at Sheffield Wednesday. They already had a nucleus of experienced journeyman but he's added a lot more too, albeit a slightly better calibre. It's enough for me to not want him. Although the mandate on bringing through academy players and the ethos of being brave to build a team of young players has to be instilled by powers above and any manager has to follow through with that. If Rohl could do it then there's plenty to like about him, but I'd be asking questions why he's favoured experience.
-
Ideally the new manager has a track record of bringing through academy players and improving players. But more importantly the mandate is that that is their number one priority. We've already seen such coaches with experience of working with young players and then they've got here and been cowardly with it. The club needs to reorder its priorities. Top and Rudkin need to instill this requirement ASAP as let's face it they aren't leaving before any new manager gets here.

We've absolutely fcuked it is the long and short of it. Yes, the gulf between thr Championship and the PL seems to be too vast right now but we also shouldn't ever have been in this position in the first place. We were a newly promoted team but only on a technicality and shouldn't have been in terms of mentality, recent hardened experience with a nucleus of players more than capable of competing and even succeeding at this level. But off the field we have so many problems that I just don't know how we rectify. The damage is done. During our successful era, all the highly regarded staff on the football side have been headhunted, three only one in power or influence is Jon Rudkin and been responsible for the appointments of the current hierarchy, as well as the negotiations for the fees we've paid for substandard players, the inability to sell players due to the wages we've offered and a wage bill that is probably still higher than at least a third of the Premier League. If nothing changes off the field then we haven't got a hope of long term sustainability (a buzz word our current owners and board often use) and people caulking at the criticism of Top and co because of the past success are completely missing the awareness of what is required to get ourselves back to even just an efficient outfit let alone be the envy of the country. It is not pot luck or a fluke, we'd built an extremely innovative and successful model courtesy of a number of influential staff that are long gone. Those in power that remain have shown absolutely no desire or understanding of what is needed to rebuild and that's why this is so desperate. Top has a massive summer ahead. The culture he has fostered with the playing squad is a problem when there's a malaise and deep routed issues. The loyalty shown to a select few which shows either a lack of trust in football or also a lack of knowledge himself. We seem to be at the mercy of a couple of agents and to shift from that just seems an unrealistic expectation and is why many of us think the only viable solution is King Power to sell up. We need a team around an ownership that understand football and bring fresh ideas that many clubs who were nowhere near us in the last 5-10 years but badly wanted to be us have implemented and overtaken us. We might never win another major honour again, I don't care. That is not what this is about. It's about a base level of respect, pride and a blue print that allows our fan base to identify with as their club. So the current custodians of our football club need to take a long hard look in the mirror. Finally communicate with us, take action and if not sell up ideally. What a waste of a lifetime opportunity this has been. We had a platform to build a solid base for decades at the highest level and we've absolutely fcuked it.- 72 replies

I'm quietly confident no AI model will ever be one step ahead of my vocabulary, I just need some form of craft to be in a position to have to put out meaningful material. That might be more of a challenge 😂

Joel Dahmen has just bogeyed 4 of his last 6 holes to throw away the Corales. Painful
-
There's absolutely no logic to what he does. McAteer in for the squad and from the start for one game only to vanish again.

I'm sure Onions would have been on here up in arms with any threads created about our owners in the midst of the success. Be careful what you wish for.

If our owner hasn't got a plan in place for righting the catalogue of unacceptable wrongs of the last 3-4 years then hopefully today is the last game we ever see him at. Don't care how long it takes and whether he withdraws his backing, if he isn't serious about doing whatever necessary to fixing what he's allowed to happen here then he's no longer welcome here. Supposed custodians of this fine football club. Sort it or do one.
-
His biggest asset is he seldom loses the ball, so even if he comes across as lightweight his protection of the ball is impressive. What saddens me with Alves is the maverick skill has been coached out of him, he still has enough skill to unlock defences but the rabonas and triple nutmegs with pike haven't been seen in senior football since Brendan threatened him 😂
-
What I will say is he's an impact player at this stage of his career. Every game he's come on as a sub he's assisted, scored or been very close to and when he's started games he's had less influence on the game. Will be absolutely ideal for us next season playing that role. This has been a decent move for him, he's proven he's very capable at this level.

Be nice if the fans could approach the clap at the end for our players and club with the same gusto the nation took to clapping pots and pans outside their house in peak lockdown. Same idle blind following of being told what to do and expected to appreciate it. -

I think it requires drastic improvements to certain things over the remaining 6 games. If he starts picking some academy players and we continue to pick up a handful of points he might do, if it's more of the same then I think he goes. Be interesting to see what happens when relegation gets confirmed this weekend. If he does have a cheaper release/sacking clause then it'll be telling if he stays to the end of the season. -

I didn't realise until after that he's Louis Page agent, or he works for the agency that is. -

Hahahaaa he's definitely rustled some feathers, I was extremely bewildered. Whilst I didn't agree with a lot of what he said on the academy and questioned some of it, I can respect he has hands on experience so would want to gather other such views to decide. We've been trying to get Huth on and will keep trying, likewise for a few other ex academy coaches. The stuff at the end with Rudkin had me in bits, full Ginnetta activated. Thanks for the feedback, certainly got everyone talking ain't it. Wonder if he fancies the live show 😂😂😂😂 -
Didn't think I'd ever see emotion at Augusta like Woods in 2019 but that was intense. Don't think I've witnessed the palpable vivid tension of sport like that before, it was almost too much to handle. Not even particularly fond of McIlroy or certainly haven't been over the years but he deserves that so much. Massive respect. Golf is the bollocks.
