Hang on, yesterday you defended the club for not bringing in players unless they guarantee they improve us. Now you're defending the club for bringing in a player that doesn't improve us. You can't be the buyer and the seller son. You're incredible.

Both highly regarded too. The years of dedicated work from our success as a club will bear fruits from our academy. Still strive for perfection and plenty we could do better at but the hard work will pay off. -

He's got 9 goals in 11 in the PL2, another 2 in the PL Cup, 2 in 1 game in the FA Youth Cup and played 1 game for the U18s in the league and scored twice. Will be interesting to see if he comes through as a winger or striker, not actually sure what his best position is yet. Seems equally as devastating right wing, left wing or centrally. -
Will watch this over our game. Will report back

I cannot for the life of me understand how Reid and Ayew have been landed upon as the no brainer first choice wingers. Don't mind Bobby or Ayew as impact players but starting games and in particular starting games together means zero pressing and therefore an easy afternoon for the opposition.

He's a decent player but at this stage, Evans appears miles ahead and younger too. -
It's a flawed defence though, like saying it's best not to risk eating again in case you get the two bob bits like you once got on a weekend in Rhyl with your Nan. You'll quickly end up snuffing it mate. No serious football club can make such a pigs ear of the opening twenty plus games this season and think they still stand a good chance of staying up by keeping they're powder dry and not strengthening properly.

Just a shame they didn't listen to me on Keekez that same window eh, ended up paying just as much for Kristiansen. Naff

Don't think people realise just how unique what Jake Evans is doing at 16. Just ran the numbers and no player his age going back as far as 2016/17 has scored this many from out wide / up front and there's been some serious talent come through academies in that time. Nwaneri got 10 the whole of last season and is considered a generational talent. Whilst we may lose Monga, I just hope we keep Evans and build our future around him. -

Arguably one of the best, if not the best performing 16 year old in the PL2 this season. Phenomenal. -
Maybe they aren't serious about staying up.

It's actually an insult this narrative they've shifted to about failing to strengthen last month. Fine we didn't have tens of millions, but the profit on Cannon was the equivalent of a £15m signing over 5 years and what both Top and Ruud fail to acknowledge is the loan market. I could list off several players who went on loan which would only have a attracted a modest loan fee and that would have given us a better chance of the survival Top refers to as so essential for out future ambition.

Some real bargains to be had though. Ao Tanaka at Dusseldorf was such an obvious shrewd pick up and the most galling thing was we wanted him when we were in the Championship. He'll be solid for Leeds next season in the Prem whilst we've got £4m years of Skipp for £22m more than Tanaka cost. Superb

The problem is Vestergaard, Faes and Coady should be nowhere near this team after recent weeks. Likewise Winks and Ayew. Hermansen Justin Faes Okoli Coulibaly Soumare Ndidi Thomas/Kristiansen (don't care) Bounanotte El Khannouss Daka

Monga is England U16s, Evans is a strange one. One of the best performing 16 year olds at PL2 level and hasn't had an England call up all year. Has previously been in England youth squads though. -
I've always been quietly impressed by Ewing, he's definitely got what it takes to be lower league standard and wouldn't be surprised if he worked his way up a bit higher too. He's had one or two long term injuries that have probably cost him a better loan move here.

Sterling will be gifted at least 1, possibly 2 goals even if he doesn't play.

Wow this family club our owners and board like to portay us as when criticising any poor behaviour must be so proud. Despite all the catalogue of mistakes and ineptitude that's caused our decline, this and our unhealthy links with mysterious south east asian betting companies (we've been reported to have the most partnerships with them) is what sickens me the most. Absolutely abhorrent.

We’ve got 1 squad space free - who are you signing?

Wonder when Nathaniel Opoku is back fit?
