Exactly how I feel. I managed to overcome the initial horror of us choosing Cooper by being convinced he'd at least get the fans on board by championing youth. All he talks about is PL experience, was literally the only thing he had to say on the signing of Bounanotte too 😂😂😂😂

Scratch the surface and his development of academy players isn't very impressive at all. He did extremely well with England U17s but I don't think it's unfair to say they were a generational group whom many have gone on to be world class players. He's obsessed with Premier League experience and he's not got the bravery to put his faith in to unproven players in high stakes situations. I've no interest in a manager like that, producing academy players for our first team is essential, just as much as attempting to stay in the Prem. We've chosen poorly with Cooper.

Because he's obsessed with " Premier League " experience. He's not an advocate of academy players at all, did the same at Forest. Plenty of examples of managers ignoring academy players deemed not ready, only for the next manager to immediately use them and them do well.
-
What on earth you on about? He's physically stronger than many senior players in this squad and Cooper barely played him in pre-season so that's a load of pony an'all.

Giminez to Forest and Chris Wood to Leicester.

Thanks for your comments. He's out of his depth here it's plain to see. His complete ignorance of our excellent academy as well is the most disappointing. He's dining out on getting his hands on a generational U17 England team and it's parachuted him as some sort of pioneer in youth development. Biggest myth I've seen in many a year. Hopefully he lasts about as long as Paulo Sousa and Martin Allen here.

Well said. Our academy should be as much a priority as survival at the highest level. Both should be the goal but the immovable vision must be that our academy drives our 1st team as much as reasonably possible. It's so frustrating, the hard work that's gone in over the last decade or more and we've chosen a manager who's an absolute myth when it comes to blooding academy players. -
Doesn't the manager " need bodies " ?
-
I've thought this for several months now. One of him or Justin would go as they're on big wages.
-
They are ready to sell him because they have Konstantinos Karetsas coming through who's equally as promising. If they want anything more than €25m then walk away, it's far too much.
-
Reminds me of the polite and presentable blokes you see working at tourist attractions like museums where you wonder how on earth they make ends meet. Harmless enough but always a question mark.
-
We need an elite centre forwardwho moonlights as a defensive midfielder or a fat and old winger who's crap and never scores.

Who do you want for next season in the PL

It's certainly not worth expecting much else. -
Don't think we paid £7m for him anyway sure that included add ons.

There's fcuk all to be positive about. Spaghetti Coops is the footballing equivalent of a Morris Dancer -
Not created a single chance 2nd half. His squad selection and subsequent sub selection is horrifying. He has to go already. I retract my Welsh Steve Bruce slur. He's on a par with Steve Evans.
-
That's football heritage away at Fulham. They should be rewarded if anything.

Zero strikers, our best player completely ignored (Ricardo) and Ndidi in the 10 role. Not my fcukin manager. COOPER OUT RUDKIN OUT

Big result that is. Don't recall us winning away there very often over the years. -

Yeah and there was talk he was thinking of leaving but as he's signed a new deal you'd imagine a gentleman's agreement is in place. -

2-1 up with seconds to go. Richards got a 2nd. He's really looking good so far this season. Loan move surely? -
That weren't as bad as some of the comments in here and that's coming from a man who'd wake Steve Cooper up at 4am in the morning with a vuvuzela to sack him. This style of football has its limitations but we also create some fast openings. Weighing it up, it's probably our only hope in principle this season but there's definitely things we can do better and the manager needs to be driving that from them when they do try and get possession. Just me who's been massively impressed with Faes so far this season regardless of his goal? Mavididi has to come on for Reid and I can see Ayew being on for Fatawu on 60/65 too.
-
Wait until we've Ayew the other side too.
